Laptop Display Question

The other night I was playing a game on my laptop,using the mouse touch pad and I inadvertently moved the Windows Start logo,internet explorer tabs and the bottom toolbar with the connectivity details,clock etc to the far right of the page.These are normally located on the bottom of the screen and I cannot figure out how to get them back there.
I've tried clicking and dragging,checked the user manual but nothing works.Does anyone know how to get this toolbar back to the bottom?

Right click it to see if it's locked.

If not, check properties and make sure "Taskbar location on screen: bottom' -- set apply.

It doesn't give me the screen location option

Just; Lock the taskbar,Autohide the taskbar,Group similar taskbar buttons,show quick launch buttons and keep the taskbar on top of the other windows

Also mentions notification area such as hide inactive icons along with hide the clock

Ok, different version of windows.  Drag and dropping should get it back to the bottom unless it's locked.

No that doesn't work either

Yeah, drag and dropping is the ticket.  Make sure it's unlocked and you put the curson on top of an empty spot on the task bar. Hold down the left mouse button and drag it back to the bottom.  You may have to left and down.

I'm using XP, right click on task bar, make sure "Lock The Taskbar" is not checked, then left click on the task bar to move it to the top or bottom.
