Unplugged laptop earlier today and plugged back in after awhile left room came back a hour later and it isnt charging. I checked all the connections and everything seems good, it says plugged in, not charging. Battery just worn out? It is about 2 years old. Thanks.

Yes most likely. I have the same problem but I'm not worried because I just leave it plugged in whenever I'm using it.
Just have to buy a new battery.
Usually people tell you not to leave it plugged in if its fully charged but over time you forget about that rule and the battery loses its overall power.
