I just wanted to know if I&#x27;m getting ripped off on buying this new laptop on dell (using this to use the internet, and maybe create a small database system for a retail store)  Inspiron 1420, Intel Core 2   Duo T5750(2.0GHz, 667Mhz, 2M  L2 Cache),3GB, DDR2, 667MHz 2 Dimm, High Resolution, glossy       widescreen 14.1 inch display  (1440x900), 250GB 5400RPM SATA Hard       Drive for I1420, 85 WHr 9-cell Lithium Ion     Primary Battery, and a Dell Wireless 5720 EV-DO      Revision A mobile broadband   built-in mini-card for Sprint (with a $100 rebate and 1free month of service with no activation fee) all for $1020 without the $100 rebate

If you do a web search for "Dell coupons," you may be able to get an additional 100$ off or so.

That is actually a very good deal, but I can do better.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;How about $799!!!!&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;You will have to upgrade the battery to a 9 cell and you can save a few bucks if you choose the jet black color.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;But here&#x27;s the catch, always a catch.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;You have to order by Tuesday.

thanks for the feedback guys.. but lipps which anti virus software program would you recommend (because I didn&#x27;t include the free 30 day trial mcafee anti virus, it hogs to much memory) ?

AVG 8.0 is our current choice in the shop. You can get the Virus/spyware version for about $39.99 or they have a security suite for about $55.  Just get the first one unless you have a ponderence to visit certain websites.
