 Desktop within the price range of $600.   which ones would you recommend? 

-will use it for sports/movies, music and school work

I know you said desktop, but for the same money you can get a nice hp laptop with 17" screen. hp dv7-1130us $650 free shipping no tax outside ny. PC Richard&Son

It's been a month so I can't say if they still have that deal

OD has a hp 17" with similar specs for $489.99 until the 26th, though I doubt you can still find them in stores by now

They are great !!!

As long as you are using them what they were made for.  Internet browsing and word processing, Heck you can even do some light gaming on them.

They are made for taking them on the road.  You gotta like something that is less than 2.5 LBS
