Lippsman i know programming so i can have certain capper's that are either hot or consistent. So i can build a program to have there picks automatically dump into my email so i don't really have to be on covers waiting for Rush or Bator to come out with picks.....for ex....I was wondering about having a RSS feed built into the site so that people can pick there cappers and them when the capper (poster makes a pick) it dumps to there RSS feed. Personally i can see how this might interfere with you business model as need people on site to sell banner ads and the longer a person is on site waiting for picks the more ads you can show.......
I just thought this might be a really cool function for the average computer user.....

That would be interesting for sure. But it would be a good bit of coding to do for the site.
I usually just tell posters to bookmark thier favorite cappers spaces page. That way they can just do one click and see thier threads/picks for the day,.

Lipps in all due respect i don't think it would be that much coding....the API is a fairly open interface. i am not the programmer you are it seems like a 3 or 4 day project.
Just a idea, and as i posted earlier i could see how it could interfere with covers business model....As covers really needs people on its site....
Appreciate the timely response, and i apologize if i come off brash it just seems that with all the integration covers has been doing with FB, Twitter, that a RSS feed would be the next logical step.......i also wouldn't mind if there was a paid version of covers that offered these extra features....

You have no idea of all the code re-writes that had to be done to intergrate Wagerline with Covers when they were merged. To say there is at least 5 layers of code alrady Frankienstiened together would be an understatment.
But also you should take a look at the bottom of the page. There is already some RSS feeds for headlines and such. Although RSS feeds are not really being used as much anymore. Most people really didn't or don't grasp it.
There are a good deal of projects underway right now. I wish we had a paid section. I have pushed this for years, but it won't happen. And yes the powers would much rather have people browsing the boards as opposed to getting info pushed to the end users.
Also most don't know, but the boards don't even hardly rank as a profit margin for Sports Direct. Sending out feeds, Odds, and articles to papers, other websites is the money making part. I just love when I see posters saying how we are making all this money off the banner ads and books.
The ads and such are just enough to pay for bandwidth and the employees at HQ central....but I imagine a good deal of the time it's not even enough to pay for it.
We use some freaking major bandwidth.

trust me one thing i know is that you use a shitload of bandwidth, sometimes when i make a post it usually posts within a second....sometimes it takes like 30 seconds.....I completely understand that aspect of it.....
Aren't you glad of the new bill speaking of bandwidth, that Obama just pushed through for internet carriers. If i was Covers that would scare the hell out of me......Lipps your allright man..

Well, I've been a member for a while now, and that statement has been pretty obvious at times. I've noticed that it's pretty clear that the message boards don't get much attention.
