If I upgrade from Vista Business to Windows 7 Ultimate, will I have to do a custom install?

 Has anyone done this?

No, you should be ok.  Just do the upgrade option.

While some people do OK with the upgrade many are not so fortunate.  In general it is always best practice IMO to do clean installs. 

You might find yourself spending much more time working out bugs than what it takes to re-install a few programs.

For most EU's backing up data is a bit of a chore and a number of them don't have the original software.  Then you add they might have to go online to download drivers then it's all she wrote. Sure if you work around computers all the time it's not a big deal. But to this day we still encounter tons of EU's who just can't do this.  Or at least not well.
