Wireless Router Recommendations Please?

My cable service is provided by Cox and I am looking to get their internet service and set up a wireless network in my apartment. Which routers are best in your opinion? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Most ISP modems these days come with wireless built into them so you can do home networking through the modem/router combo. I prefer a seperate router though as the newer ones have better speed and range.

If you are looking for video game/netflix streaming etc, I would get a dual band N, price range $150-300 based on brand etc.

For my house I have the latest Linksys router, about $300, but I never have issues with over 5 computers, 2 phones, 2 ipods, 2 ipads, PS3, Wii and 3 wifi blu ray players all connected and most of the time at least 6-10 devices using bandwith at a time.

Brand names: Cisco Linksys, Netgear I would recommend. If you are using apple computers/products the Airport is also good.

I have Cisco Linksys. Paid 60 dollars and it covers my IPad, phone and t.v. (netflix,apple tv) quite nicely.

Guy from Cox looked at it and said, oh, you bought a good one. Just saying. No need to spend 300. After a couple of years, it all change anyway..
