I don't think I'm as confident as you, in betting large here. Keys is tricky. I'm medium betting this, and parlaying with something. Just gonna figure out what first. Goodluck Gav

Keys has proven herself to be a mental midget again & again & again & again in big matches. Muguruza at her best is a beast on clay. Destroyed Serena 6-2 6-2 at the French in 2014, and in her first match here pulled Makarova's skirt down and thrashed her to within an inch of her life. If both players play their best on this surface, Keys will not win. Keys only chance is for Muguruza to not produce anything like her best, yet so far the Spaniard has shown a consistency of form she's not shown at all previously this year. That consistency started to show up just as the clay court season has gotten underway: that's no coincidence. Muguruza is a legitimate shot to win the French Open, whereas Keys has no chance of doing the same because her ground game simply isn't consistent enough to win 7 straight matches on this slow surface. As long as Muguruza doesn't lay an egg, best I can see Keys managing is to win a set.

And ftr, Muguruza has played 9 clay court matches this year & won at least 1 set in every one of them. IMO anyone who likes Keys would be better off taking her for a 2-1 sets win and/or the spread, rather than SU.

I would never go big on Muguruza regardless who she's playing. Even though she is a top 5 player, she has the propensity to lose to anyone. She's already lost to Mchale and Lepchenko this year so she can lose to anyone at any given moment especially how well Keys is playing right now.

The match's start was delayed 3 1/2 hours, then was halted 6 games in by another delay. You can never predict what those kind of circumstances will do to any player. While it's impossible to say for sure that the rain delays hurt Muguruza's mentality without talking to her directly, the fact remains before the rain delay that came 6 games in she had managed 5 BP chances while getting deep into all 3 of Keys service games. After they came back from that first delay she did not manage another BP chance over the rest of the match. What she did do after they came back was serve a mountain of DF by her standards (she served more in that match (8) than she had over her 3 previous matches combined: in a tight match, it's ultimately the serving stats which show the difference between the 2 players: Keys was +4 to Muguruza's -7). From where I'm sitting, that initial rain delay destroyed Muguruza's early momentum while allowing Keys to settle down. I've seen rain delays destroy momentum across numerous sports, it's just one of those unfortunate things.
