I know all about the joker. Trust. But I think GD’s style will be too much given the circumstances of joker be ager and fatigued. I could easily be wrong about this though and joker could do as he has many times and show up and look like the younger, fresher player
To clarify GD’s style, among many weapons, consists of an amazing backhand that is consistently placed away from where his opponents are running because he watches their position until the last second and consistently places it away from his opponent’s momentum. He is able to pull this off because of his amazing reaction time, ball tracking, and coordination. when you pair that with an amazing dropshot, I predict joker will get frustrated early and have to take risks that he isn’t used to, and we will see him out of position on many points.
I also do believe joker is not 100% due to back problems, and his situation will most likely be worse today after a tough fight with rublev.
another thing that separates GM from joker’s recent opposition is decision making, and first serve efficacy. Both joker and GM have had amazing first serve stats. This tells me it will be hard for joker to break GD. I think a hard fought match definitely favors GD. His stamina and decision making are always top notch. I think rune and rublev had great chances to win, they just didn’t hit the ball away from joker when they needed to. I just rewatched the rublev match, and joker was consistenty able to get to rublev’s powerful forehand because he was moving to the spot the ball would be before rublev hit it.
as always, good luck, both sides!

He’s been in unbelievable form, but the more you type the more I feel like you’re trying to convince yourself of the impossible. That said, Vegas has it “close.” I think they’re good friends, so I’m gonna beat Grigor to win a set and then pray ????

I was plugged already last night, so no convincing myself was needed when I typed that post. 1k (USD) on it, and I may hedge if GD wins the first set. Or I may let it ride. Idk. I like the bet though.
I won’t be mad if it loses, because watching joker beat competition like GD is worth it
win win

See what you have watched is Dimi playing freely all week but now a final vs Djoker he starts thinking about that in his head and just can’t escape it. His mental game is trash.
