Fed+2000 and stephens+4600. Call me crazy but at the odds I love both of these. Fed has some time to recover and get fit. He looked pretty good at Barclays and he can beat anybody if he's playing up to his potential. And stephens is young fit and made it to the semis last yr. she just recently picked up Paul annocone as a coach.

Federer's price makes no sense - even if you get it on the exchange where you can "cash out", I don't think he'll trade much lower. Here is why, IMHO: 1. He simply cannot compete with Djo-Nad-Murr over 5 set matches anymore and this is basically what the price says. 2. Nowadays his best results would be indoors in the best of 3. His game is no longer predictable and he's prone to upsets in earlier rounds. He lost his last 2 slam matches to nobodies with one handed backhands - which could never happen in "his" days.. And it was at his "best" slams 3. "Fed has time to recover and get fit"... No, he just got a year older and a year slower while main competition stays in their prime.
I would not go so far as to say that Fed's slam winning days are truly behind him. With the kind draw he may well have one more run in him (USO would be my guess). I just would not bet on it.
With 2 (based on current rankings) out of top 4 seeds not very convincing, I'd look into bigger priced lower ranked guys (Cilic, Raonic, Wawrinka) in weaker quarters (Ferrer's and Murray's).
And, perhaps, smaller stakes on the likes of Almagro, Janowisz, Dimitrov, Nishikori, Verdasco.

I also like cilic to win. But back on fed, he ha back troubles from March to October. His results show before and after. He made it to the semis last yr and gave Murray a great fight. He's beaten Delpo in there last two matches and in his last two matches against djoker he took it to the distance without showing signs of fatigue. I know those were best of three but I just like the odds.

Almagro, Jano, Nish, Dimitrov? To win the Aussie? Seriously I wouldn't waste 10 cents on those donations. Jano Nish Dimitrov can lose to anybody, anywhere. And they have. In majors.

well, these guys have no chance to win AO, but since I'm doing my bets on betfair ("back -to- lay"), for me they only need to make quarters to show profit.

Almag has some consistency but is usually 4th round and out. The others are so erratic and can go out in rd1 at the drop of a hat. Nish just sucks. Dimi and Jano are hotheads who flake out.

reasonable and logical case could be made against anyone outside of Djokovic, Nadal and perhaps Murray. it is all about perceived risks vs rewards. i got all of those stiffs matched in the range of 500 - 1000 to 1 on amounts of about hundred bucks each. i can live with that. wouldn't touch them overwise, even in each-ways.

just watched Murray's match in Abu Dhabi. he looks fine physically, movement is good, serve is even better than expected. groundstrokes could use some work, but i don't think it'll be a problem by AO. if his price gets to around 1:10 i'll take.

Tsonga has all the tools but you have to question his mental fortitude in the business end of Slams against the big boys. Until he does it even he himself will doubt if he can do it. Let's face it, Federer, Delpo, Murray aside - beating them is tough enough and them you have mountains that are Nadal and Djokovic. It's so much to ask. He needs luck and good fortune.

after watching djokovic for a couple of days I think AO is his to lose. i just cannot see who can beat him over 5 sets..
unless he gets into some fluky physically draining 5 setter in the 1st week and gets Murray - Nadal back to back (or gets injured) i don't see him losing.
