It is getting to be habitual with this guy. Win first sets in the dominant fashion....like 6-1. Get up breaks in the 2nd........Then lose every point thereafter!
Tourney after Tourney after Tourney!
He could have whipped Nick K in July. Same thing!
He should be banned. When the script is the same multiple times.........OPEN YOUR EYES!

the same with Schmielova. Two match points at 5:4 40-15, now she will lose the set and maybe game. Seen her doing that probably a dutzen times now. How mentaly fucked up can one be???

THe biggest fixed was joker at the Olympics... who loses to a 145 ranked player?!?
he made it look good by doing it in 2 tie breaks and crying afterword's
good actor
That 145 ranked guy happened to be Del Potro, who’s a beast, a major winner (Beating Fed in his prime from a set down to win that major), and only ranked that low because he’s barely played in the last 2 seasons. That might make him rusty…but no less dangerous. He also advanced to the final in the Olympics, taking out Nadal in the semis, and giving Murray all he could handle in the final on shorter rest. The guy could barely walk at points in the 4th set but it still took Murray everything he had to close him out. Djoker was slightly off and just got beat…

Not trying to stir the pot by any means but just curious as to why you think this Paire example is so obviously match fixing, but not the Kvitova example I just posted about? I looked at the prize money and Paire stood to win another $13000 by advancing to the next round in Cincinnati (and possibly more if he went further). At that level deliberately dumping a match makes no sense to me, whereas in Kvitova’s case she could have her cake and eat it too.

No denying that Paire has been known to choke, but choking and match fixing aren't the same thing. To me they're almost opposites actually...match fixing is deliberately losing a match, while choking is actually not being able to win a match from a position of leading.
All fair points though, especially about top players not caring in a small tourney the week before a major. Who knows, maybe Kvitova still lost the 1st set on purpose so she could play with the feeling of her back against the wall, and like you said if she loses nobody cares.
Anyway, thanks for discussing! Not trying to be confrontational though it might seem that way...just always trying to learn/see new and different angles that I might not have considered.

I dont think Paire is much of a choker or a match fixer. I think it's more he just doesnt give a sh**. As has been said
Paire Dont Care
It's been joked he cares more about his frequent flyer miles than actually playing the tournament. He's a carefree spirit that just happens to be good at tennis. He doesnt need the money to fix matches. Like some of these French players, they dont need the money.
Guys like Fognini and Kyrgios just go into the mental wilderness and never make it out.
