Straight fade on the Dutchman following a grueling past week with very little turnaround to recover,,,I'm really not sure if he'll even play...but if he does, a well rested and prepared Busta is not the type of clay court grinder that Zands would want to face coming into this event on half a tank at best.

I dunno, Pack....I watched the match and I definately saw Botic running outta gas. Which was exactly what you predicted; you were on to something and I appreciate your wisdom. Not gonna piss all over Pablo for blowing some match points on his serve although it was PAINFULL to watch. You and I both know how hard it is to serve out a match.
Point is, van de Schlong dug deep and showed some great character. We gonna have to keep an eye on this Dutch mofo.

Absolutely, Pablo didn't finish him off earlier in the 2nd set when he had his opportunity...full credit to Van Der Pump Rules,,,he's a late bloomer but given this new era of watered down talent and really no one true dominant force, a guy like him reminds me of a Michael Stich who occasionally found his way to the winners circle on the biggest of stages.
I like his game and seems like an all court type of player,,,perhaps a dark horse to make the QFs at French and/or Wimbledon given his current form? Wouldn't surprise me, depending on the draw it's something I'll be sure to look at.
Having such a big serve will help him a lot in tight matches.

omfg...Stich. I remember watching an ATP finals (used to be 5 sets) vs Sampras. Both guys had the same one handed backhand (beautiful to watch) and they also had the beginnings of the modern forehand (loose wrist or "live arm" I guess they call it...basically the evolution of Vilas>Lendl>the future). Dont get me started on forehands....the "nextgen" forehand (Tiafoe, Sock, etc) is too unstable. Give me Goffin, Ferrer, Mannarino, Federer, Foggini any day.
yeah....I see it....all court; all the tools; string a few days together; maybe a slam! I think Stich won one(?) I know he was #2 in the world and had double digits titles.
just looked it up...he won Wimby..beat Edberg, Courier, and Boris (in the finals). Amazing
