What are we thinking? Obviously everything on paper says Chung. But man did Tennys ball out last round.
They have both benefitted from playing veterans in questionable states of health (Wawrinka, Joker). Chung has looked like dynamite but frankly I think Tennys' win over Thiem was more impressive than anything Hyeon has done so far all things considered. At least Dominic was 100% fit, and fully engaged unlike Sascha Zverev who would get beaten by a whole lot of players inside the top 100 at the moment.
Add in the fact that Tennys took a set off Chung in Auckland a few weeks ago and I'm leaning heavily towards Sandgren game spread. But then again I'm looking at betting a challenger tier player against the currently hottest next-gen player on the planet, if anything would like to be talked out of it. Thoughts?

Chung Easily bro - Tenny's (Tennis) is done - He cant keep emulating this and Chungs fitness is OFF THE CHARTS - No way Chung loses this.. Do not back Tennys.. I mean I'm super stoked this guy came from no where to be relevant all of a sudden and he cost me a lot vs Thiem but let me be clear on this point Thiem does not cover ground like Chung and I doubt he hits harder Ground strokes then Chung.. This is another level after a 5 set match.. CHUNG CHUNG !! Fitter player also wins this - CHUNG

Wawrinka offered nothing, whereas the Joker beats basically anyone outside the top 10-15 with the effort he gave despite his dodgy arm. The Serb's high UE count (which is at the heart of his loss) was solely down to the unreal returning Chung managed off balls that were otherwise winners/unreturnable against most other opponents.
One of these players is a future long term top ranked player on the ATP as long as he stays healthy, the other is having a Cinderella run at a Slam after a decade playing that's unlikely to ever get repeated. I'm of the opinion the clock strikes 12 on the older player here, but would only seek live odds for individual set wins given current prices. The fact the u/o is set so low is a warning sign for those wanting the dog here imo. This goes 4 sets, that Over will cash easily, and who doesn't give Tennys a more than decent chance of winning at least a solitary set? That total would be anything between 37-40 if those in the know really felt like Tennys winning a set was a given.

my 2 cents...
Theim is soft. He lost because of a soft spine.

Sandgren's run may infact be who he is now...a late bloomer...following in the footsteps of several top American tennis players who went to college rather than turn pro as a teenager....Todd Martin, Mardy Fish, Sam Querrey all had late starts to their careers because they went to college before turning pro...perhaps Sandgren has finally developed into the player he was always supposed to become...fitness levels hes off the chart based on his stamina this week...now that he will be ranked in the 60s moving forward, hes going to be in alot more tour level 250s and 500s, where he will have to back up this weeks amazing run.
Personally, i think Sandgren wins here as there is a huge potential for Chung to be drunk on his Djoker beatdown koolaid...if there was ever a letdown spot here, it would be Chung...Sandgren was not expected to get here, but in Chungs mind, the Korean must have felt hes got a chance to be here...so all the pressure here is on Chung, not Sandgren...the player who has nothing to lose usually plays freely and aggrrssively and is not afraid to miss and go for the shot when its there...Sandgren is that guy here.
Who will win? Who knows...Aussie Opens always prime for upset specials, this year is a classic example of that all tournament long.
Over the games, over 3.5 sets would be how i would bet this match if i decide to get involved.
Victory Belongs to the Most Tenacious

I think it will be long interesting match because current form of both players is in same league , at least somewhat. It won't be a blowout, I don't think. I think, Chung wins this, but I see good value on over. As packers backers, stated as well. I respect his opinion highly. I am with him on over . Win or lose.
