Match point- Serena gets called for foot fault and gets injured. All of a sudden she just can’t play on her ankle. -3.5 goes out the door while she’s up 5-1 and serving. Then actually gets up 30-15 in return game and messes up by not even trying to hit the ball. Now it’s back to 5-4 on serve because remember Serena cant even get a serve in anymore. If u say this isn’t semi scripted You’re not watching this game.

It’s over, she will not recover. That was a phantom foot fault and it cost her the match. 5-1 match point and gets called for a fucking foot fault. Won’t win another game. Never seen anything like it

Damn Serena, I know you want to be tough but she should have called a medical timeout for sure. I know Pliskova has to pretend like she wasn't handed that match but she was dominated.

Yup she rolled her ankle on the subsequent point to the foot fault, and then was clearly hampered by it for the rest of the match.
I don't understand why she didn't call for a medical timeout...I was waiting for it ever since the injury.
Still pretty gutless of Pliskova though...she had given up on the match until she got the lucky call and then injury. Then to talk about winning it like she was so great lol.
And I thought my Washington Caps beat was bad tonight.

Pliskova admitted her mind was already in the locker room while her body was out on the court when she was down 5-1, then everything went her way and she took advantage of it.

It was only a matter of time before her ankles gave out. How those things support that amount of body mass defies the laws of physics. It's amazing how deep into these tournaments she gets with how fat and lethargic she is. Does her trainer work for free because clearly hes not doing his job!
