Haven’t posted in a minute, but I see tremendous value on gasquet tomorrow. As always, take the French fruitcake at your own risk. Best of luck!

I am less into tennis this year,,,call me an old grumpy Clint Eastwood get off my lawn guy,,,I really don't like how the ATP railroaded Djoker at the Australian, and last year I was appalled at how many people supported Osaka's childish withdrawal at the French following a win and knowingly pulling out immediately afterwards,,,she should have retired on match point or not played the orevious match and allow a fellow tennis player the life changing opportunity to advance in a major.
Also, equal pay for play with the WTA agenda is something I'm very much against,,,and now more than ever they are piggy backing off the ATP for joint events in order to mislead what their true attendance stats are,,,because no one is paying good money to watch this group of women play tennis, yet they want the same prize money as the men? Please...give me a break.
Rant over...I have a quiet thread started with some futures and hopefully I'll find a few men's matches worth getting involved in...but my passion for tennis capping isn't nearly what it used to be...just don't have the time necessary to follow so many matches and events weekly...I'm more involved with NBA this past year.
The regulars who post here are winning cappers, give Borg and Marquee and ToddC a look, among a few others...this forum is quietly the most profitable one for a long time...shhhhhhhhh don't tell too many people about it here...mainly good dudes too without the sandbox drama found in all the other forums.

I know he’s arisen from the dead, pulling a Cilic/Dmitrov, but is he on that level? I’m trying to figure out if he was that solid the other day, or was Harris that awful?

It’s a combo buddy. Gasquet had a really good tourney in Geneva and played very well. Korda is so hit and miss, and if Gasquet shows good tally tolerance, I believe he will win in 4 sets.

I love this rants brother!
I totally agree that Djoker got absolutely hosed by Australia. I won’t comment further on the matter as I’m trying to keep my blood pressure down.
I don’t deal with the PeriodTA in any capacity. Osaka is a child and you hit the nail on the head, the WTA is nothing w/o the ATP. Anyways, I’ll try to post some other picks on here later. I love coming and reading, but posting is literally a job and I have too many of those already. Lol

Post whenever you feel like it my friend, always nice to chat with you.
I'll likely take a break after this slam and boycott the grass events plus Wimbledon,,,I find it despicable for them to think they can ban professionals from Russia and Belarus and turn their show into a political stage.
Honestly they should be ashamed of their decision, when France is right next door and open to everyone.

It’s an absurd take. I can’t understand it either. I think that’s my biggest gripe in general, watching politics seep into our beloved sports. Most people use sports as an escape. I understand that there will be times where the two will intersect, but we now have organizations and media that want politics to be the main story in every circumstance. For Wimbledon to take the position they’ve taken is disgusting.
Is this where we’ve stopped to as a society? On what planet do they think that Russian & Belarusian tennis players are supportive of this Russian invasion? If you’re Russian are you automatically vilified as being part of this invasion plan? That’s essentially what Wimbledon is saying. You’re guilty by association. Sorry for your bad luck.

Just to add quickly the hypocrisy of all this,,,Ovechkin was never threatened to be suspended for being an open Putin supporter, and for being an openly public fundraiser and advocate for the current Russian regime.
He was asked to denounce Putin's actions and invasion on multiple occasions and he respectfully declined to answer the question, which is entire his human right...if people choose to turn on him and think differently of Ovechkin for his honest political views, so be it, but he's a professional hockey player and didn't lose his ability to work and earn like so many of these players being denied access at Wimbledon.
It is what it is, and I choose to share my opinion about it, and will most likely not watch or follow the next slam altogether...I won't be missing out,,,there's always the summer hard court season to look forward to.
