I have Kerber to win Wimbledon at $100 to win $3600.
Current odds:
Barty 165
Sabalenka 240
Kerber 280
Pliskova 500
How would you hedge?
Nice position to be in...great pick, im in the same boat with Kerber to win.
There are two options, one is more conservative and the other is more aggressive.
1) consider $500 on Barty ML -250 (or close to this based on your book odds)...this way you double your original $100 wager and theres nothing wrong with that, pretty much stress free.
2) consider $500-1000 (up to you where you feel comfortable) on Barty to win title at +160, then you can reassess how to properly lock in profits in the finals based on the opponent and odds.
At this point in a tournament when you have a horse left out of 4, its really up to you what profit amount you would be satisfied with...you have guaranteed doubling your original wager which allows you the option to go for more if you want to.

@packersbackers
Consider the scenario I wager $1k on Barty at +160.
She beats Kerber.
Would you say I would wager on Sabalenka/Plis to win ~$800 or so to guarantee winning?

So I took Barty 1k at +160
Now the hedge line is Pliskova +195 and +3.5 EVEN
What are your thoughts on:
1. Hedging Pliskova to win $750 (since I lost the original $100 Kerber bet, a Barty win will net me $1500).
2. Hedging Pliskova +3.5, for a more risky gamble that she covers and still have the potential to lose.
3. Some sort of combination of the two above
