Interestingly, Goffin has a pretty decent track record after 5 set matches, even though everyone expects him to be fatigued:
“Perhaps surprisingly, Goffin has won 10 of his last 12 five-set matches, but what of his record in the matches immediately after a five setter at a major?
Well, here it is in full:
Lost to Rublev 1-3 Beat Verdasco 3-1 Beat Moutet 3-0 Lost to Cecchinato 1-3 Beat Monfils 1-0 (RET) Beat Stepanek 3-0 Beat Gulbis 3-1 Lost to Bautista Agut 1-2 (RET) Beat Clement 3-2
Pretty decent and he has a 62% win rate against left handers but he's lost eight of his last 11.”
I’m also seeing the line move ever so slightly towards Goffin. Is he a live dog in this match? Will the Brit choke in front of a nation expecting him to win?

I mean picking Goffin, not against him. Nobody is picking him to win as a +185 dog.

I'll be on Goff +4.5 games..this line is purely screwed to the Brit based on betting volume within the UK blindly backing their own...at most, Norrie shouldn't be more than a -150 fav here given how well Goff is playing.

You are not worried about him throwing a set if he gets down and has to to conserve energy? He is known to do that. The 4.5 games would be great if not for that possibility.

From the stats I posted, it looks as he was at least good to win one set after his 5 set matches. I think both players should win a set in this one, so I like the over 3.5 at -155.

The title of the thread is wrong. I corrected myself. Read the entire thread please.

Money coming in on Goffin. He has dropped to +170 from +190. If he takes the first set then sharps can try to middle. You’d think with fatigue in the back of his mind, he has to get off to to a fast start.
