As a fan of the sport this match means everything to me. For me, Novak is the most dislikable tennis great I have seen play. I respect his game and his accomplishments, but it is his attitude and personality I cannot stand. All his accomplishments, the arch of his career, is motivated by envy and jealousy. And it is so, so transparent. Kyrigos said it all, in a recent interview:
“I just feel like he has a sick obsession with wanting to be liked.
He just wants to be like Roger (Federer),” the Australian said.
“For me personally - I don’t care right now, I’ve come this far - I
feel like he just wants to be liked so much that I just can’t stand him.
“This whole celebration thing (blowing kisses to the crowd) that he
does after matches, it’s like so cringeworthy. It’s very cringeworthy.
“He’s an unbelievable player, he’s a champion of the sport; one of
the greatest we’ll ever see. He probably will, honestly, I reckon he
will get the grand slam count, I reckon he will overpass Federer.
“(But) we’re talking about a guy who pulled out of the Australian
Open one year because it was too hot. No matter how many grand slams he
wins, he will never be the greatest for me."
Anyway, if Fed can beat this guy at his age, after beating Nadal, that will secure his legacy (at least for me) as the GOAT!
Tennis Gods, make it happen!

I completely agree...I've never cared for Joker at all. What he did at end of second set speaks volumes on his wanting to be liked bc crowd cheered for Agut and he starts trying to get crowd involved. I think the line is wrong and Fed should be closer to a pick em. Joker draw has had no one inside top 20 play him and he had the cupcakest draw possibly ever to a final.

Funny how Binka34 thinks you're acting like a 12 year old.
Well, if youre acting like a 12 year old....I feel the same exact way as you. I have watched this sport since I was a little ki . Haven't seen anyone more whiny than Novak on the courts. He is like the Lebron James of the NBA, lol. Both just whiny & hated.
I am a huge Roger Federer fan. I really, really hope he can get it done vs his arch nemesis tomorrow.
Go Roger!!!

What an epic loss. This has been Fed's pattern against Djoker since Djoker beat him in that USO SF when Fed had match points. It's like he suddenly looses belief in those key moments and Djoker, in contrast, plays with the confidence of a guy who is ahead/winning. I just don't get it. Only explanation is that Djoker is in Fed's head. This should have been Fed's crowning achievement. The biggest victory of his career. At 38 beating a guy 6 year younger who is chasing his GS record and is the world's #1 player (and this after defeating Nadal and getting revenge for his 2008 defeat), would have been monumental. He could have retired then and there and no one would ever be able to touch him. Instead, it will go down as his worst defeat and one of the biggest chokes ever on the big stage. How very sad. The tennis Gods must be crying...

It looks like even the tennis gods can't help that choke. You'd think Federer would learn by now, sad indeed but you gotta give credit to Novak Djokovic.
