All close sets. Looks like his game matches up with Djokers, and he will be a heavy dog, just as he likes it. Can he pull off the upset? Will the moment be too much for him. I know from all the top players he hates Djoker the most. He respects Nadal and Fed, but not Djoker. He has talked a lot of smack about him over the years. Will he be able to back it up or will Djoker make him pay? I grabbed him at +450 at slow moving book when I saw Nadal withdrew, but unless he wins that first set a hedge will be out of the question. Yes, I’m talking this way because I expect Djoker to dominate tomorrow. He is not losing to a guy who looks like he should be serving beers at a Pub.

Correction: he is 2-0 vs Djoker. I misread the match stat results. For some reason, they post the same match twice, once in the header and then again under total results. Confusing.
6-4 7-6
7-6 7-5
Both results are from 2017 hardcourt.

These are the pre round one odds for the last 10 or so champions at Wimbledon. Djoker opened at -120 this year. If Kyrgios wins he would be the biggest dog to win in the last decade or so as his initial price was +1800.

wondering to hammer the over when they face sunday. my guess is 40.5/41.5
That’s probably the safer bet. Although Patrick McEnroe threw out the theory today that he thinks Nick not playing semi against Nadal on Center Court will actually hurt him and he will be overwhelmed come Sunday and blitzed by Nole before the match starts, predicting he will be a set and break down before he knows it. I don’t think it will play out that way but then again I’m not an “expert” like Patrick.

“Sharp bettors have been backing Djokovic throughout the tournament. Over 50% of the money bet at BetMGM is on Djokovic to win the tournament across 17% of bets. Nadal was the most-bet player to win the tournament at 28% and those bets made up just over 20% of the total money wagered on the winner of the tournament.”
Djoker and Nadal are/were the biggest liabilities for the books.
