These 2 players have played 5 sets against each other in Slam matches with Muguruza winning 3 of them by a 6-2 scoreline, and people are saying she's got no chance to win.

Yeah I agree sandique, if people wanted to bet big on Serena then best bet was when she was against sharapova last match. She's been owning Shara since for last 10 years

She still was too pricey anywhere from -500 to -650 way too much even vs sharapova.

agree it's silly to say NO chance. but the numbers say Serena. 20-4 in finals. Mugu did beat Serena on clay, her worst surface. On a faster surface, Serena has won 4 of 5 sets, all pretty easily
Tough call IMO. Serena could have a mental blip or she could truck but I think she wins this

Yes, but she's 15-2 in finals not at Wimbledon, and 5-2 in finals at Wimbledon. Quite a marked difference between her winning percentage in finals on grass (71.4%) vs. finals on all other surfaces combined (88.2%).
Muguruza did beat Serena on clay, her worst surface.
Saying clay is Serena's worst surface isn't saying anything much, when she's the GOAT and has won more FO titles than any other player currently playing. Her record on her "worst" surface is a record any other player playing would sacrifice their right arm for.

I only care about the sets they've played in Slams, and when Muguruza lost the final 2 sets when they met in this year's AO, she was off playing two 3-set matches in her previous 2 rounds. So what happened to her in against Serena after winning first set 6-2 can easily be guessed at: she started to run out of gas, hence it's no surprise Serena won the last set handily. She had two 2-set matches prior to playing Radwanska, and her first set in that SF took very little time to be decided, so there shouldn't be any attrition issues dogging her here where they likely did for that AO encounter.
The biggest barrier for her winning isn't Serena, it's her nerves in her first Slam final. She has the game to take Serena, she proved that at the French. That was no fluke, this woman will win more than one Slam before she's done (barring injury, naturally).

What about first set score? I'm thinking Serena 6-4
I didn't see that working out. First, Serena wins the coin toss...so 1 break for Serena would have been 6-3. Second, Serena gets broken in the first game....and it looks like she makes it at least 7-5 or tie breaker.
I'll take it at +350 though
