With Heritage if a player retires the wager is graded only if the 1st set is was complete

 So Teichmann backers would be voided or counted a lost ? 

Yes I got screwed yesterday too. All bets voided Kastakina vs Teichmann.

Bookmaker voids all bets when there is a retirement and match not completed. Even set betting say you have +1.5 set and your player wins the first set then second set someone retires. That’s void.

Only time Bookmaker doesn’t void is when there is a disqualification (when the fk does that ever happen?) and in these rare cases only the match winner i.e. money line plays are settled. 

Easy to remember. Works both ways think I got bailed out last month by a retirement that went my way because my bet was going to lose. 

I like to do a lot of round robin (3 plays of 2 team parlays). This retirement cost me yesterday ended up going 1-1-1 on tennis plays which is not good in a round robin.

I got a loss on teichmann because moneyline. So dumb!!!

Certain books I avoid for tennis because it puts bettors at a complete disadvantage for pregame bets.  If I were to bet the same match live just after it started it would have been void.  Its so stupid
