I really like this one, Putintseva gave everything last week to win a title in her home country. To try to recharge after that disappointment and like you said travel 24h at least, going from Indoor to Hard without any time to train.

Petkovic is a good player, and she has been staying in US since Cincinnati and has been playing and training on hard court since Aug.

Putinseva get's $18,155 just to show up for the 1st round, that's more than she earned for her for being runner up last week.

That also shows how much she wanted to win in Kazakstan, a lot of players withdraw early last week to be able to repair for this 1000 event.

Petkovic also won their most recent meeting, and they have played once before on hard here at Indiana Wells when she won 6-2, 6-0, hoping for something similar today :))

Don&#x27;t you need to quarantine in the US if you travelling from Kazakstan? I swear all I see on Sabalenkas Instagram is that she is in Quarantine all the time.&#xA; &#xA;Perhaps Putinseva is vaccinated and Sabalenka is not.
