Good evening gentlemen,
I hope everyone is well! A pleasure looking through the forum and seeing old names still posting picks. Been a very long time since I've posted on the tennis forum! My posts go back to 2008, check it out! A while, yet i've still been keeping up with the tennis game and hitting cross court winners....
Aegon. Quarterfinals. Early morning action on stattracker while at work! ATP. Love it! I have 3 plays and a brief analysis as to why I'm picking them....
Andy Seppi +120 over Phil Kohlschreiber -150
I like
the Italian in this matchup. He is the higher seed, but is the dog, which makes
me lean towards him. They both have titles under their belts this season… Seppi
in Belgrade and Kohl in Munich. This means they both have a lot of confidence
going into this match, but Seppi is more well rested, having had a bye in the
first round, thus making me toss a confident play at him.
Steve Darcis -110 over Marinko Matosevic -120
Very even
players, except the Steve-o is coming off an upset victory of the exciting Baghdatis.
That gives him bravado now. At the same time, Matosevic is also coming off an upset too, having knocked off top seeded
Gasquet; so he has a swollen amount of bravado as well…. This is a coin flip,
but to me, Darcis gets the slight edge over the Aussie because I feel he's had more overall success this season.
Denis Istomin -145 over Ryan Harrison +115
Don’t get
me wrong, I’m a huge Ryan Harrison fan… He’s an American, and is freakin’ 20
years old! What a stud! However Istomin is too strong for him due to his career
experience. And the fact that Istomin just knocked off 2nd seed
Granolliers, you need to go with the guy who is
the hottest at the moment and that is Denis. He is my guy in this one.
So guys, Hoping some of you remember me in my glory days way back some years ago. I was on the money with many famous upset money maker picks, the most memorable being Tsonga in the '08 Aussie Open, and riding him all the way to the semi's. Dog in every match, High amounts of cheddar made! Nom Nom Nom Nom.
I had a gander at Aegon, and the three plays above are the plays that stood out to me.
You can ride or die. I hope your ride, and I hope we profit together! It's nice to be back in the circuit.
Regardless of whether you ride with me, best of luck to you and may you prosper in
whichever route you choose!
Best,
PIPE$
