Why would federer be more dominant than the rest?  His as equal as jordan(Basketball), gretzky(Hockey), tiger (Golf) or even pacman(Boxing) in different type of sport only!! But never greater than the above?

Tennis is not popular in the US but along with football can lay claim to being one of the only true global sports.

I said maybe, time will tell... And by pure dominance of his own sport, he definitely could be, we will see.. Very hard to argue though the way he has dominated the sport... its amazing, he has almost every record in tennis. 

If you go stat by stat and who owns every record in their respected sports, who beats roger??????  

Its definitely something to think about but we should wait till he at least beats Petes record of 14 grand slams...

its definitely very subjective and there is no sure way to know. Especially with team sports...   Thinking more about it, i dont think Gretz did own every damn record in the NHL  so i really cant go against him, Jordan does have all those scoring titles and 6 rings...  Pac is my alltime fav boxer but i dont think he (among any of the boxing critics) would go down as a top 5 greatest boxer of all time...

Are you forgetting what he did even before nadal was there? Federer held the number 1 longer than anyone... And lets not forget how hes gotten to the last 15 finals of the past 16 grand slams.  Thats sooo damn sick.   

And Nadal is a great player, the best ever clay courter ever, even Borg i think acknowledged that.  Nadal if his body holds up should win at least 3 more french opens...
