I have finally come to the realization that no one knows anymore than anyone else about handicapping this sport. The so-called experts in here maybe get half of their predictions right, if that. I mean someone can flip a coin or pick out of a hat and get the same results. No matter how hard u wrack ur brain and think that u know who is goin to win these matches and how many games are going to be played, at the end of the day it’s all guess work. Nobody in any sport has special information. Vegas is in business for a reason. I have seen more people in here write this is a lock, can’t lose and what happens 90% of the time? It loses. Just flip a coin and I guarantee u will get the same results, if not better. Anyway just thought I would share something that should be common knowledge.

Anyone who says anything is a lock in sports is an idiot. You do the best you can with numbers and roll the dice. Your post doesn't offer anything insightful in the slightest. It's simply a Captain Obvious type rant.

you must have lost a lot. if your taking any bet at odds long than -150. its a tossup. its inherit in the line itself. avoid those and hit lines that are shorter, hard and avoid the trash games.

live betting and watch the match and go with body language or momentum is a much easier way to profit than blindly betting on a game beforehand tht involves the performance of one human being like in tennis. team sports much more consistent

Bet with your heart.. your mind will get you nowhere. There are solid handicappers that post here on covers that deliver there knowledge .. at the end of the day we are the ones who are, "selecting the bet.
Bet what u can afford to lose.

I just watched someone they hail the best “handicapper” in here just lose every single match he picked. That’s hard to do.
No need to waste your time on a lovely long weekend Saturday night being all passive aggressive saying my picks sucked yesterday...did you tail them all and lose some money like i did? Did you overbet and now looking for extra shifts at the kwik e mart? Sorry for your feeling of desperation, but betting sports is not for everyone...you either accept the losing days and move on to better ones, or simply become another roadkill for the books....some days we win big, others we lose big...if you look at a 365 day graph, only you will know where all your bets stand at the end of the day, along with your bankroll.

I will share with you my secret to consistent profits that the books don't want you to know...
Never max bet on a match no matter how lopsided it seems. When that so called "locked or guaranteed" games loses, 95% of punters will go on a "chase mode", thus creating a huge tilt in favor for the books to win. This is why 95% of punters lose in the long term due to variance.

I don’t tail anyone’s picks because it’s all a guess. Scratch ur heads and research as much as u want. There is absolutely no logic in betting any sport, especially tennis. I had tsurenko today and after seeing the first set no one in the world wud have given her a chance of winning. I swear the results of these matches are mostly predetermined.

I appreciate the realization presented here. In fact, I have kept detailed records on all the cappers here at this forum and I can attest that most are not really winning long term. That isn't a slight on any of them but there are some major reasons why ( i include myself here) that we see suboptimal results.
1-Trying to bet for entertainment value in addition to "investing." Conflating these 2 is a major -EV issue here.
2-Getting poor prices on wagers
3-Betting too late and because there's an upcoming match of interest.
4-Max betting when you "feel super confident". I did this on Sabalenka yesterday.
The honest truth is that the amount of work that would be required to be really good at this would render it unentertaining and not that much fun for someone who already has a job, family, etc etc in real life.
So enjoy this hobby....You likely are not going to win long term. And if you did, the amount of work may be better applied elsewhere.
