Rewatched his recent matches and he is in top form. Alcaraz is obv playing well too, but he struggled against Tiafoe who can’t paint corners like Ruud, and Tiafoe was also severely struggling with his first serve and his second serve was something like 80 mph average which is a joke at this level, and the fact that Alcaraz struggled vs that is telling for me.
i expect Rudd to give Alcaraz trouble with his serve, and I also expect Ruud to try to get into rallies as much as possible because he is definitely the fresher player and this will wear Alcaraz down.
as always, best of luck both sides.

Not gonna lie, the Alcaraz of the first set was phenomenal. However, he is starting to wear down. Wearing down is tough against a player as consistently very high level as Ruud; he doesn’t hit amazing winners that often, he simply gets his opponents out of position, and relies on them making mistakes before he does

Pulling for you. However, as I stated in my initial post, I see Alcaraz being worn down. When his serve starts to break, then tend to keep getting broken. He can fight through opponents that are also fading, but Ruud is still looking good and consistent to be. Having said that, I think that we both win and have good bets!

Totally. I both underestimated Alcaraz and overestimated Ruud. Ruud is playing do passively and Alcaraz isn’t making many mistakes. Hats off to Alcaraz and his supporters / bettors! Sunday night nfl time for me
