Tennis needs to implement a better ranking system. it needs to be more like college football. If a top seed loses they drop in the rankings. This will create great competition in every single tournament not just the majors. Djokovic is on of the few players that wants to win every single time he steps onto the court regardless of the tournament.

Badgering Woz is getting quite old. She's obv. not at her best form right now, if you follow you'd be wary of betting on her. Whenever the hell she had her run (last year or whatever) she cleaned house at the 1000's and other tourneys for some time. She was a money train not too long ago and I was all aboard.
Based on her tourney wins and the amount of matches she played last year, she deserved to be #1 and still does because there's no one else on the list you can say 'Oh, she should be the top seed.' No ones won enough consecutive tourneys to really distinguish in ranking points and jump into #1. Serena, Venus obv. had injuries and Kim shows up 2 majors a year. While the new breed, Azarenka's, Petkovic, Kvitova, Li etc. have continued to elevate their game, Caroline's game hasn't really evolved much the last year.
BUT... Woz is not Safina. She is mentally tough, I've seen it time and time again and that's why I think she will eventually bounce back, she almost needs to redefine and reinvent her game a little but she'll be fine, she's young and she's not going anywhere.

tennis & soccer are the most "fixed" sports period. Just remember some of these tennis players can get paid more for "fixing" their matches than actually winning them

I have to say I disagree - you will see that the majority of books will generally withdraw "questionable" matches from pre-match or live betting and therefore the only places most of these get offered is on Betfair or other exchanges. Mainly because Betfair take commission on all winning bets so the winner is of no interest to themselves. The match I posted is an obvious example, you don't get a guy who is the lesser player at those odds, set down break up unless something is very very suspicious
You will probably see "tanked" matches kept in play but in my view they aren't fixes, and you can often tell in my opinion when one is tanking.
