first 2 plays:
Sijsling +160 1 to win 1. 6
I like sijslings game and back him often. He is 16-12 on grass since 2010, with wins over players like Raonic, Kuznetsov, Istomin, Ito, Nieminen, Klizan, and De Bakker. He has lost to Baghdatis, Russel, Dodig, Tsonga, Nishi, Ferrer and others during this time. Additionally, Sijsling was 9-4 on grass in 2013. Looking at Tursunovs grass history, he is similar to Sijsling with a 16-13 record on grass since 2010. He has wins over Ward, Gulbis, Dodig, Giraldo, Mahut, and ERV during this time with losses to players like Haas, Lopez, Mayer, Melzer, Malisse..... Notably he only played 1 grass match in 2013 and lost to Haas. In 2012, he did well at Nottingham (small tourney) but then lost 4 straight matches after that. This line is a toss up at best and neither player should be backed with too much confidence. In this case I always take the dog, especially at +160. Lets go Igor! BTW, Tursunov is 2-0 h2h but both were on hard courts in 2011.
Cilic -4 -120 1.2 to win 1
Cilic is 3-0 vs. Matos, 2 on hard and 1 on clay. Matos snagged 2 sets at the US OPEN off Cilic before losing 3 straight sets to lose. They met at the AO in 2013 and Cilic won pretty easily in 3. On clay Cilic won 2-1 in 2014. Cilic does very well on grass, going 17-8 on grass since 2010 while Matosevic is 23-15 during this same time. The difference is the quality of opponents: Cilic has beaten Baghdatis, Hewitt, Berdych, Lopez, Dodig, Melzer, Querrey, and Rosol during this time while Matos has beaten only smaller names, headlined by Daniel Evans, Duckworth, Llodra, Ward, and Gasquet (not a small name, this is probably his best grass victory). Matos lost last week to Baghdatis 6463, and i think Cilic can achieve that or even better. I sided with the ATS rather than the Under in the case that Matos snags a set.
