Today we have a match featuring 33-year-old Canadian Pospisil (+106) playing 20-year-old American Z. Svaida (-130) and Bookmaker’s line on this match being almost a coin toss……………and the Over being set at 23 games…………which tells me that the linemaker fully expect a tightly fought close match.
Note* we have the 20-year-old youngster favored over the seasoned Vet. which for me says the lines makers feel that the money will be on the youngster, and he has the best percentage chances to win this matchup. So, we know that young men especially at age 20 trying to make it on the ATP tour to the bigtime, has fight and grit in them and won’t quit or give up.
And we know from history that Popisil plays with motivation at the US Open and at 33 years of age (nearing the end of his career) will be fighting and playing with motivation, determination, and grit, to score another win and get into the main draw for the big payday.
So, with two determined men butting heads and neither one willingly to concede anything we have a good chance for the “Over 23 game total”
I will not get into any long analysis because when I get a matchup like this, I automatically wager a ½ unit on the “OVER” 23 games”.
Note* a half a unit wager only……………..no more
I feel just like the lines maker’s that we may see a 7-6 7-5 …….2 setter or a 7-5 6-4 ……. 2 setter or maybe a 3 setter.
Anything that will get me over the 23 games totals…………..or at the very least a 23 games total…………….which gives me a tie and my money back (to live to fight another day type wager).
