This kid is playing lights out. People look way too much into rankings. The only way you can pick rublev over him is because you feel Vesely will be fatigued from his recent battles. Vesely’s run isn’t a fluke. I went back and watched his recent matches, and this kid is playing the best and most consistent tennis I’ve seen in a while. +250 and the wrong player is favored here. as always, good luck both sides.

Any reason why? Rubles dropped first set in each of his last 3 matches, and I can assure you that Vesy by far has a stronger first set than those three players that Ruby faced (Kwon, McDonald, Hurkacz). This makes me think it is very likely Vesy takes the first set. I rewatched Ruby’s match against McDonald and I think the first set will go like that with Ruby dropping it. Only reason why Ruby came back is because of McDonald’s unforced errors as Mcdonald had plenty of chances to take set 2.
Have you seen Vesy play recently? He rips his first serve in consistently, then his follow up shot is a rip to the other side of the court. He forces players to move side to side, and he mixes in excellent drop shots. Joker played incredible vs Vesy and still lost straight sets.
I think Ruby’s main issue is versus players that make him move a ton. I see him struggling fast and early. Vesy completely mentally broke shapavolav last match, and I see that happening here too.
My bets are already plugged, but curious how and why Ruby backers think Ruby is going to win. Vesy needs to drop his level of play significantly for Ruby to win in my opinion.

Vesely seems weirdly unbeatable right now. And while Jiri Vesely may be playing like a machine, he is not governed by mathematical laws. He’s just on fire.
So never mind Rublev's season . Never mind his Top 10 ranking. Never mind his title and his youth and his energy. Vesely is stomping statistics, disrupting world rankings, and crushing everything in his path, without explanation.

Also Rublev is playing better today then he has all week. Not ditching the ball into the net and finding the lines early today. He started his other matches making UFE after UFE. He’s on.

Bad read on this one, boys. I honestly didn’t think Vesy would fall of this much. Looks completely different than the version against joker. Double faulting and struggling to get first serves in. Probably fatigued from all of his battles. Turning this one off as I’m almost certain Ruby takes this easily. If so, congrats Ruby backers!
