Another scorcher today. It’s brutal out here already.
Should benefit Aryna and Madi who both live and train in Florida. Keys playing best tennis of her career but is hard to trust based on her history. Can she turn it around? Aryna is playing lights out and looks unstoppable. Would like to see her and coco in the end. Hopefully her bad serving is now a thing of the past. The only sport imo that deserves the same pay as men because it draws just as much revenue.
I think the heat is going to have the largest impact on the Medvedev Rublev match and it’s at the worst time of the day. Will be interesting to watch, but honestly don’t see Rublev winning this match unless Dani needs to hit the inhaler one too many times. Then to close it out Carlos Sascha! God I love tennis.
Interested in others thoughts. GL today

It's hard to go against any of the favs straight up today. Saba and Alcaraz are both playing at the top of their game right now. I actually like Saba a little better knowing that she'll be #1 after the tournament ends. Zheng doesn't have big match experience but has the game to push Saba. Zverev has looked spectacular, and he'll need to get off to good start. I think we're going to see more competitive matches today, but the favs find their way through. Maybe sprinkle on the over games in all 4 matches and find a cross-sport parlay with Sabalenka.

Medv is right. Someone can die playing in this shit. I can’t even stay outside for more than 5 minutes. What is the point? They have a roof and ac. Common sense has been lost in America.

What’s up with the post match discussion with Medv? Why so delayed? Disney editing it before they put it on tv?
Ya seriously. I hate ESPN. They are so garbage with televising this stuff. On Monday Medvedev and De Minaur were in a heated battle in the fourth set....and they decide to go to Pegula and Keys because they're Americans. Are they that stupid? I'm so thankful I have ESPN+ for free.
And Blake, I can't stand listening to him. Chris Fowler is great. Bring back Dick Enberg from the dead, he was so good too.

Would we say sablenka and keys have better conditioning also?
my bad didn’t see this. Zheng’s conditioning didn’t seem to bad. Vandrousova’s on the other hand is extremely suspect. Also doesn’t help that she’s hurt.

Seems like the right pick. However I’m a little skeptical because everyone and their mother is on her. May just watch or try to jump in live. For Marketa to have a chance she needs to get her 1st serve in, otherwise Keys is going to pound all of her 2nd serves

Chalk keeps rolling. I'm starting to think the extreme heat and humidity the last 3 days has contributed to a lot of unders and blowouts. The player that falls behind early isn't showing any fight to comeback. Throwing in the towel and wanting to get out of the miserable conditions. It will be hot and humid again tomorrow for the women's semis. Think we're going to see a Gauff vs Sabalenka final and I would favor Saba.
