Wimbeldon question

Hey all, this is my first foray into gambling Wimbeldon (only a little tennis exp) and I am getting shalackled..  Do this many chalk heavy favorites just always get waxed? I put a couple of -200/-300 favs in parlays yesterday and they just got destroyed.. Today isn't much better, I have Tseng and Alaistar is schooling him.

first few rounds you will see the upsets then the cream will rise by week 2......so if your strategy is to parlay faves just wait for that week

 It depends on many factors. The most basic one is coverage. Many favourites are uncomfortable playing on grass. You might be the favourite on paper, but ball+grass=unpredictability

-200/-300 ML favorites in tennis is not really considered heavy chalk...those lines indicate the dog is live.

-500/-800 is where the oddsmakers are saying they "expect" the favorite to win

-900 and higher is where the oddsmakers are telling you the favorite will win, but there is always the rare upset with these matches.

Tennis betting is far more complex than the average Joe realizes.

You look in see a low ranked and high odds going against a high ranked and automatically think yeah this low rank should cruise right?  Wrong you still have to do your research as some guys are just unwinnable on certain surfaces and also look at h2h records but sometimes the odds makers do factor that in like the Ruud match currently
