Looking at the future odds, Djoker at +120 seems like the best bet (Djoker eyeballing the grand slam with first 2 in his back pocket already), Cilic at +5000 is worth a look as he's a grass courter with tons of experience and success, plus he's shown last week his game is sharp on grass, and for funzies Isner at 100-1 might be something to consider and hope he serves 50 aces every match with hedging potential in the semis and beyond.

Women's side, blah...i may boycott the entire thing and not invest one minute following it. my leans would be Halep +1200 and Kvitova +900, but that all depends on their recovery from recent injuries.

 You know what EP, i was just looking to all the recent junior wimbledon champs over the past several years, and Opelka was the photo this one random site was using for the story...depending on the draw, i completely agree with you, maybe a QF appearance? 

I hate to admit it, but my gut is saying this may be a very boring tournament...take away "tradition" and the media's yearly hype machine for this event, it has quickly become my least favorite of all 4...grass court tennis has become irrelevant in todays tennis world because of total lack of access and availability of this surface around the world.

The US open was once played on grass many years ago, but we all know the Brits will never let that happen 

Did anyone watch Fed Ivashka today? Roger looked old and slow and barely looked like the better player...kind of like Jimmy Connors at the twilight of his career when it came to the majors...first week should be okay depending on the draw, but i suspect he gets beat 4th round or QF...gotta always cap in the "old man injury scenario/excuse if they lose in shocking fashion" in any slam at this age...same with Serena

I don’t think Nadal or Roger will win any more grand slams, they will end the career with 20 each. 

Novak will dominate this year and next years Australia open. Then I think the young guys will be ready to take over.

Cilic to win Queens? 7/1 what do you think about that?

i think opelkas a top 5 player in next few years pack. im seeing +10k on him to win wimby, thought it would be more books are cheap!!!

 Very possible, his only true match should be Shapo, everyone else are not grass courters...dare i give Lopez the kiss of death and say he could always be a threat here?

I think Rafa will still have a few more runs at the French, he was visibly nervous in the second set vs Djoker and played way too defensive...getting up 5-0 only to have to struggle to win that first set also spooked him...i am sure next time he playes djoker he will have a better game plan...no way we can say he wont be the favorite next year assuming hes relatively healthy.

 Youre right, b365 has Opelka at 100-1, same as Inser...for sure Reilly is worth a sprinkle and hope he has a clean draw for week 1...his play on clay was very impressive, so hes got to be coming into this month with confidence.

Are you hearing anything on the ground about Halep or Kvitova being close to 100% fit? Im never going to back a broken horse

Zverev +1400 seems like a value play here as well with hedging possibilites at SF or beyond...hes knocking on the door of these slams now, rarely losing in upset fashion anymore in 3 out of 5 setters...on any day on grass, i think only Djoker is a clear favorite against him, he should be a pick em against the other top guys now, including Roger because of fatigue and fitness concerns for Fed in a grinder type match against these new wave top 10 guys.

I might have to lock this one in tonight or tomorrow just in case Zverev wins his event this week and the line will go down a bit

 Zverev at +1400 is a great bet- really the highest odds I think for anyone with a smidgen of a chance. Federer at +800? I'm not understanding that one. I don't see any possibility. I'd like Zverev better even if both had the same exact odds. Rublev at +6,000 is the one shot in the dark I could see being a play. Why is he lower than Thiem at +5,000 on this surface? I'm puzzled. Both though are certainly struggling.

I think Isner will go to the semi here, he like the grass and has improved his game.

I think Korda Sebastian will surprise many as well, just beat 2019 years Wimbledon semi finalist Bautista-Agut R. in Germany.

Sad ending for a legend, thanks for all Roger! 

Can't see him play again on this level, he turning 40 in a month and he has 4 young children.
