||an_violin.gif' border=0> I was one of the people who didn't read the rules correctly & showed up late on Day 1 thinking I could make all my picks in NBA. As a result, I missed 2 sports / 2 plays & ended the day with 1 win & 3000th+ place. I told myself it wouldn't matter, but had a nagging feeling it would come back to haunt me. Well, I worked my butt off to climb all the way back to the 1st page, but as I now sit in a 13-way tie (approx.) at 99 wins hoping to snag one of the few remaining Wagerline Jackets, I can't help but wonder what might have been if I got those 2 extra plays back on Day 1 ||an_violin.gif' border=0> Anyway, it just goes to show that every game is important & reading the rules is VERY important. I can't wait for the next race & a shot at redemption, but in the meantime I offer my Congrats to all the winners. You have my utmost respect for doing such a good job over the long haul. ||an_cheers.gif' border=0>

not trying to be an ass but, you blame your current situation on two picks you didnt make on the first day because of the rules. What you should have said was, what might have been if i took alittle extra time and got two extra picks right that were wrong. Wasnt trying to call you out, just giving you another view of things where you take more responsibility instead of what if..ing stuff you have no control over like the rules.

hell wes fisher...if my mom didnt miss the first few days she would have crossed the finish line also..she finished at like 94 wins and missed a few days...shoulda woulda coulda dude..

Saying that if only 2 losses had been wins is stupid, because we all had tough losses. I made 4 picks every single day of this contest except Day 1. I wasn't complaining, just wondering what might have been if I had those 2 extra picks back in my pocket. Without all the woulda-coulda different scenarios of every game, just a simple fact that if I had those extra picks, I likely woulda got a prize. I wasn't trying to be a bad sport, I am not like that. That's why I congratulated the winners, but I guess you conveniently overlooked that. Always nice to see so many people try to find a way to turn an innocent comment into some sort of debate. The main reason I posted was to offer congrats to the winners & I took a moment to lament a near-miss. Still, I take no ill will from your reply IcyHotL ... I'm sure it's not the first time you didn't "mean to be an ass" & still came across as one anyway.

Wes, you say the main reason you posted was to offer congrats. Your post was 3/4 about how you could have won somthing have you had two extra picks. Then you go and pat yourself on the back for making it to the first page of the contest. So to that i say "what ever". I rather say how i feel and come across as an ass, then be spineless and be around the bush about everything.

You are obviously too stupid to see that I gave myself 'violins' when I made the comment. A smart person, which you obviously are not, would realize I was already making fun of myself. You are obviously so anxious for attention yourself that you feel you need to intrude upon my thread to rub it in that I fell short & to you I also say "whatever'. I am sorry nobody copngratulated you on 100 wins, but perhaps it is because you are a poor sport & an ass? Just guessing. Take care & good luck next contest ... I am done with this thread.
