these rules need to be changed, if games are ppd or incomplete, the player should be entitled to pick an extra game the following day. this could be the difference between someone getting to 100 wins first or gettign screwed by covers stupid rules and cancelling winning bets off as pushes because the full 9 innings wasnt played, or due to rain delays and postponed games.

I took one on a Twins game, opening day..... (A) I had a brain fart, somehow forgot they moved out of the Homer Dome" 2 years ago. I even looked at the weather and saw they called for snow, lol. (B) I "almost" picked another "weather game" the very next day. From that point, I started paying close attention to www.weather.com.
Conclusion....... It's not Covers fault I had a memory lapse, or didn't do my homework, or that I may have been too lazy to look at the weather. I knew the rules WELL, from years gone by....... when I made simalar mistakes. The prizes are well worth a lil extra effort, but I've always been a slow learner...... :)

I took the Twins on the first day too. Do I like the fact I have one less play than most, no, but that is the case. Now I check the weather before making a baseball play.

Got another small suggestion. When listing the standings the most wins then the best percetange should follow. We all know that the tie of wins is important, but the person with the highest pcat I would perceive has the best advantage. Maybe near end of contest this would mean less once there is more separation on wins.
Good luck everyone !!
Best contest on covers for sure !!!

yes this would be a good one. i made a mistake in the cfl near the end i picked bc game to go over 52.5 points. however i made a mistake i wanted the under. the 2nd place guy at the time was bwqjm. he waited for me to make my pick the whole day! cuz he didnt know the cfl. once i did the pick i was fretting he would go against me since he was only one pick behind me. i figured all he wanted to do was keep pace with me. he ended up picking the same last 2 games as me which included the mistake pick and a winner in the afl. the guy totally copied what i did! i also noticed a glitch the next day or so. the same guy was 1 pick away from being 2nd overall but missed his wnba pick early in the morning. then he had another selection for the national league later in the evenining. would have been mighty interesting had he won that selection with only being allowed one pick for the day

Burley, I'm pretty sure that way it worked was that you could only pick the number of games you are away from 200 with your initial picks. However, as soon as the pick was graded you could make additional picks if necessary. So say you entered the day at 199, if you made an early afternoon pick and lost you would be able to pick an additional game at night because the initial pick would have been graded by then. This was one of the biggest reasons why I was so upset by the way they ran things they day the site was experiencing technical glitches. They only had the cfl games available all day then decided to re-add wnba games at the last minute allowing all people who hadn't picked yet at 199 the option of getting in two possible picks while the people who had only picked cfl would only get that one game in...

wow i didnt know the rules worked like that! had i not gone 3-0 on the last day but instead lost one or all i would not have made another selection for the rest of the day thinking i had only 3 selections for that day. i think if i remember right 2 of them were early games meaning if i failed i coulda made afternoon selections. yeah this rule should change then. if u have less than 4 selections remaining u should only have the amount of selections left in that day. so if i understand this right then u can have 4 morning games at ne time during the contest and if they all fail - u can then select 4 more games for a total of 8 selectoins in a day for the later games? if so then this rule does have to change

You can still only select a maximum of 4 games and you can only select one at a time, or if you were at 198 or 197 you could select up to 2 or 3 for one block. I was under the same assumption as you were about only being allowed x amount of picks for the entire day if x was a number less than 4 wins away from 200. I combed through the entire rules again with about a week to go and saw the caveat about being able to select more games (up to 4) once your initial pick(s) gets graded as complete.
