So Bovada had a 100% deposit bonus up to $250, but you could do it unlimited times if you were depositing with Bitcoin. It ended last night at midnight (Oct 3 2016, 00:00). I deposited a total of roughly $7,000 for this unlimited bonus promotion. Here's how the promotion worked:
- You had until Oct 3 00:00 to make the deposits
- The rollover was 5x, including your bonus amount. So if you deposited $250, you were instantly given a bonus amount of $250 to play with, but you couldn't cash this out until you cleared the rollover requirements. So you had $500 in your account with $250 of that in a playable bonus account. 5x rollover would mean you'd need to wager a total of $2,500 in sportsbetting to clear the bonus and be eligible to withdraw the bonus + all winnings associated with the bonus.
- You had 5 months from the date of the deposit to clear the rollover and cashout.
- You had to comply with Bovada's terms and conditions, which can be found here: https://www.bovada.lv/bonus-terms-and-conditions
Since my first deposit of this promotion a couple of weeks ago I called Bovada support 4 or 5 times to make sure I was privy to all of the details regarding this promotion. I asked if I was within their terms and conditions, and each time the Bovada representative assured me that I was in compliance with their rules.
Fast forward to today, 12 hours after the promotion has ended, and I receive this message on my Bovada account:
DateMessage Oct 3, 2016 Account Status This is a quick note letting you know that after careful deliberation and investigation, our Investigations team has decided to remove bonus eligibility from your account. The way the 100% Bitcoin Kickoff Bonus was being taken advantage of is explicitly against our terms of use. We assure you we didn't make this decision in haste. So after assuring me that I was in compliance with their terms and conditions regarding this bonus, I am informed the day after the bonus has ended that I had taken advantage of their "Unlimited Bitcoin Bonus" and that my bonus account has been terminated.
This is absolutely absurd and I am outraged. I'd also like to add that I have played on Bovada, both poker and sports, fairly consistently the past few years, and played for many years on Bodog before that. I am down quite a bit in the sportsbook lifetime.
Did anyone else participate in this promotion?
