well, not sure how with a two-goal lead under 3 and half minutes left you don't close that game out even if orangutans are officiating...

besides, only penalty call in the 3rd was on Canada, and it led to a PP goal by the US ladies to go up 2-0...

the "slashing" call in OT was bad...

but...

1st PP opportunity in OT went to US...

you can make the case that wickenheiser was out of gas on the breakaway, just fell down, but the move by the US player in pursuit, with both going down, was enough to create a perception that she caused wickenheiser's fall...

but (again)...

US had at least 3 lights-out scoring chances early in OT and couldn't finish...

look, the officiating wasn't great but we all know that going in, I mean it just is what it is, both teams have to deal with it...

tough pill to swallow but the US blew it, have to feel bad for the players but it was a gold-medal gag job

Lol.. USA just choked like they did in the prelimany round.Man up and Don&#x27;t blame the refs for the loss. All teams have to deal with refs error.

How come you don,t mention how the ref picked the CAD defense at the point off the draw in the USA end. That clearing enabled by the refs interference on the Canadian defense hit the post and nearly scored for USA to win the game.

All kinds of chances both ways.
