Good luck to all Wnba Cappers. Have a great season.
Once again I will post all my plays here on Covers and keep a running record.
2009 111-91 ( +22.1 u )
2010 97-80 ( +24.3 u )
2011 88-55 ( +60.85 u )
2012 47-63 ( -52.4 u )----Stunk the joint last year
2013 ????
EAST
1. CONNECTICUT ( 20-14 ) Half the girls on this team played at UConn within the past three years. A well coached team with a considerable home court advantage, not to mention last years MVP and best post up player in the league Tina Charles.
2. CHICAGO ( 19-15 ) ELANA DELLE DONNE !! My bold prediction is that the Sky will represent the East in the Finals. Take a look at this starting Five ( Vandersloot , Prince , Fowles, Della Donne and Cash ) Prince will join the team in June.
3. INDIANA ( 18-16 ) and I think I'm being generous. There won't be a repeat. They will be without Davenport and Phillips for an extended period of time and they've done nothing to improve their roster.
4. ATLANTA ( 16-18 ) They'll only go as far as McCoughtry takes them and Lindsey Harding is a HUGE loss.
5. NEW YORK ( 15-19 ) I don't think they'll make the playoffs and if Cappie ever gets hurt , this team is in big trouble.
6. WASHINGTON ( 11-23 ) The Mystic have improved their roster and they should at least double last years win total of 5.
WEST
1. PHOENIX ( 27-7 ) What else can I say about Brittney Griner the #1 overall pick. She's the real Deal. Barring any injuries by the end of her career I think she'll be the most dominant female basketball player to ever play the game. She's 6'8 and runs the floor like PG. She can pass, shoot , pivot and Dunk at will. Over 700 career blocks at Baylor. Guarding her will be impossible. If the rest of the team stays healthy the Mercury will be the team to beat. Phoenix goes from a 7-27 ( last season ) record to a 3-1 favorite to win it all. Rightfully so.
2. LOS ANGELES ( 21-13 ) Add Lindsey Harding to this team and you get a legitimate contender.
3. MINNESOTA ( 20-14 ) The acquisition of McCarville offsets the Franklin retirement. The Depth of this team is the best in the league and Maya should have a breakout season.
4. TULSA ( 15-19 ) 3-31 in 2011 7-27 in 2012 and I'm predicting that Tulsa will finish ahead of Seattle and San Antonio. Some very good off season acquisitions including the #3 overall pick Skylar Diggins who in my opinion is already on of the top 5 guards in the league and she has yet to play a WNBA game.
5. SAN ANTONIO ( 12-22 ) Young out for the Year.
6. SEATTLE ( 10-24 ) NO JACKSON !! NO BIRD !! The storm will struggle.
