Have to get back to the grind of this league. Its clear that there are some pretenders and some clear contenders. When I was watching the Sky/Mercury game the other night, the female commentator said "this league is so closely contested and the teams are so close and competitive". Is she watching the same league? There are great teams and then poor teams IMHO. I still dont understand how Sky lost that game vs Mercury up 59-46 with 7.30 mins to go. That one will baffle me for a while.
Big news, Jonquel Jones has left the Sun for Eurobasket, no idea when she will be back but that is a HUGE loss. Funnily enough, the Sun dont play though until 13 June so they get a week to prepare for the Storm.
Moving on to today's game.
Dream @ Lynx: Lynx -5 and 163
Thats my guess of what the line will be. Dont see it being much different to the game the other day. Lynx look decent with Collier back and the Dream are flying. They have a solid unit this year and so many people wrote them off but it just takes a few games to gel. Carter is doubtful for this game and the Lynx have Dantas as GTD. Lynx leave Minny after this game for one road game vs the Mystics and then back home for Sparks and Sky. Dream head home after this game for a double header at home vs Seattle.
Wings @ Storm: Storm -8 and 173
What a mad game the other night. The Wings looked out of if down by 8 with only a few mins to go but somehow forced OT and almost got the win. These two teams have now played two straight OT games and I love both these teams this season and the Wings have Gray and Sabally now and a good roster finally. Seattle enjoying a nice homestand though, but this is their last home game before hitting the road for 5 straight east coast games. Wings have Thornton as GTD and the Storm are as healthy as they can be. I dont think the Wings deserve their 2-5 season so far as they are highly competitive and I think they can do it again. They match up really well with the Storm. Wings have a tough schedule coming up, they have a double header vs Mercury, then Aces and then another double header vs Lynx followed by the Sun in Connecticut (dont know if Jonquel will be back by then). Tough stretch of games and really need to dig deep here.
Good luck everyone..

Not the highest total we have seen in the WNBA but it’s a biggie. Wings took 85 shots in reg time, they are just a run and gun team and almost got the win the other night. Storm about to hit a 5 game road trip after this game. Definitely worried about unders and the free throws we see in certain games and the last two games between these two teams has hit 172 and 192. In the first match we saw 43 free throw attempts, and the game the other day we saw 41. In both games, the Storm were getting a lot of the free throws. Hope to see some sloppy shooting tonight with these girls off just one days rest and a fast tempo last game.

Will take it… Arike with the dagger to seal the victory. Ugly game but gee I like this Wings team. If they can put together a few solid wins they will be up there challenging for top 6. Mabrey is great, Sabally had an off night and Gray wasn’t her usual self but that grinded out the win in a tough game. Kudos to them. They now move into Phoenix after this game.
