We have a couple days off so i wanted to share a few thoughts about my process etc so that is might help all of you get to the 60% on 200 plays ( I still laugh at the absurdity of that) I am at right now.
Coaching- This league more than any sport I know relies on coaching. The gap from the good, the bad, and the ugly is vast. Always remember this. Look at Cheryl at MIN. How does she do it with that depleted squad? She does it because she is a really good coach. Look at the way they get back on defense after a missed shot. LAS do not do this. CHI does not do this. It is because of her and no one else. Same with ATL. No they cannot shoot but they get back on D. They play defense and they give an effort. I can say that about DAL..WSH...?? can I say that about other teams? No not really.
Chalk Will Talk- The dogs have been barking all year. This will stop soon. It happens every year. The gap between the teams is slim right now. It wont be in another month. The LV and MIN and CON and WSH will go to the forefront. And it will take the books a bit of time to get with it. A team that may really give up is LAS. Great talent. Issues with CP and a bad coach.
Stars Coming Back- Pretty soon we get Skylar back. Maya back. DT playing every day. Angel back. You know what guys? It wont really matter. What you see now is what you are getting then, AND I might add the first couple games back that team will be worse off than before. look at when DT came back. A shell of herself and she is hurting the team. It will happen to all of them. Do not put too much in the return of the stars.
Over/Unders- I am having success here. Why? A couple of reasons 1) I watch the refs 1H. If they are letting these lesbians play then i seriously think of 2H unders. 2) High scoring teams get real tired 2H. Think CHI, NYL and LV. If you see a lot of points 1H seriously consider going under 2H. These girls get real tired. Look at Cambage 2H. She is an out of shape lesbian. Take advantage of this guys. CVS is a greatly skilled player but she gets gassed 2H. And she is a TO machine. The value lies in the Unders. It always has. In any sport.
Something Wrong In Curt Land- CON is supremely talented but have a weirdo coach and many head cases on the court. They have finally strung a couple wins together but I cant see this lasting,. When A Thomas shoots FT like she does and has no clue how to shoot a jumper I need to blame the coach. I mean it is a disgrace the way she shot puts FT up there. Girl it is not THAT hard. Practice a bit. You have a smaller ball. Just lay it up there and it will go in. Trust me on this. I mean it is a weird team. They have all these ATHLETES but no real shooters.
EDD Goes So Does WSH-Pretty self evident here. I am not crazy for Thib as the coach. I think his expiration date is past due. He looks lost at times. EDD coming back but...what else will happen to her? Lyme disease. Something. I have a hard time with this squad in the long run without EDD. If she is healthy thru the playoffs Ok. They are the front runners. But I do not see it. Give me MIN.
