Buckle your seatbelts and hold onto your G-strings because this is going to be a crazy and wacky day I think. So much can still happen and will happen. Would not lay a bet until you know players are in or out in specific teams like Mystics, Sun, Sparks, Fever, Liberty, Wings and the Dream. The Liberty actually got what they wanted after losing to the Fever the other night, they got the highest percentage chance of landing the #1 Draft pick for next season.
Liberty @ Dream
The Liberty may turn up for this game as they have achieved what they wanted. The Dream on the other hand seem to be in a classic letdown situation seeing that they just beat the Aces. No Durr tomorrow for the Liberty and that's all I know as of right now. Line should be hovering around maybe Dream -1 and 160 total.
Storm @ Wings
Its a must win for the Storm if they want a home elimination game. They will play the Lynx no matter what in the first round but they definitely would like home court instead of Minnesota. However, if the Sparks decide to rest players and the Lynx win, the Storm will go to Minny regardless if they win this game. No mention of any injuries for the Storm and Wings haven't said anything about Mc-Gee Stafford or Thorton. See what develops later in the day. The line should be Storm -3.5 and 157 total
Sun @ Fever
Not going to go into too much detail, both teams nothing to play for the and the Fever will be without Tiffany Mitchell due to concussion. Miller would surely rest some players tomorrow or give them half a game off maybe. Guessing Sun -5 and 160.
Lynx @ Sparks
Sparks nothing to play for, the Lynx home court to play for. The Lynx would love to host a game at home against the Storm as they are very dominant at home and Reeve is a mastermind of a coach. The Sparks looked very good against the Storm, a game they needed to win and did it in style. No new injuries reported, but lets see what Fisher throws out there on the court. Expect maybe Parker to get rested potentially. Not worth risking any injuries for this game for the Sparks. Line should be Sparks -6 and 158 total.
Aces @ Mercury
Another pointless game for the Mercury, whilst this game means absolutely everything for the Aces. Win and they claim 4th, lose and they have to see what the result is with the Sky @ Mystics game. Aces have not looked good since the All-Star game really, Cambage left the last game with an Achilles injury (thanks ITP for that update) and you know what, I actually like this Aces team without her because that gives A'ja the ball more and she plays harder than Cambage and also opens the floor up more for Kayla McBride to get her shots off as well. Mercury playing horrible, had a nice 44-40 lead at HT vs the Lynx, Griner got ejected (doubt we see her next season) and it all feel apart in the 2H. Mercury nothing to play for apart from confidence heading into that match-up with either the Aces or the Sky in the first round. No Swords for this game either, so if Cambage is out as well, A'ja is going to have a lot of minutes which is a good thing IMHO. Line should be Aces -3 and 164 total.
Sky @ Mystics
Dangerous game, not sure I want to play it at all because Thibault could rest a lot of players or give them little time. No need to risked EDD getting hurt, but even their bench are doing great and this could be a really fun game to watch. Sky everything to play for, the only thing I don't like about all these games playing at the one time is that if the Sky know the Aces are flogging the Mercury at half time, they could simply give up in the 2H but I don't think the Sky are a team like that especially under Wade. This time is amazing and plays hard every game, Wade has turned the clock back on Dolson's career because she wasn't her best the previous two seasons but she is having a great season along with Quigly, VDS and Deshields. If the Mystics play all their usual players, this line should be Mystics -8.5 and 167 total.
All these games start at 6am Sydney time for me, going to try my best to wake up around 4.30 and see what line-ups the coaches are putting out there.
