Academic question, Brutal: Are you saying when we see a high total with a medium to small spread, it’s a good time to hit the underdog ML?

The spread is high like 8.5. It has not moved That much recently but moved a point or so this morning.  The total is stagnate as well . Means that it looks like NYL will cover this. If they do in fact cover we have a GREAT chance for it to go over. because  means that a lynx hold Lib to less points than I can see here.

High spread low total there is much less room for error for the Fave to win and to cover the total. Think about it. If the total was 170 then there is much more leeway for the spread to be converted. 

Extrem example if the total was 100. And the spread was -20. Then there isn’t not much leeway for the fave  to not destroy the dog right?  And here I have a hungry Lib team playing a team without their star. I get 9 points and the total is very low. The percentages say Dog and Over big time.
