So apparently the WNBA is going to try and trademark the word "wubble" and then sell merchandise with the word on it. Interesting, not sure its going to sell very well. The WNBA comes up with strange marketing campaigns all the time.
Mercury vs Wings
Word on the street is that Taurasi will be back for this game. She is listed as GTD right now for this game so not sure. This is another early start and the Wings are falling apart. Its good to see Arike not taking 50 shots per game now but they will be without Sabally and Jefferson again tomorrow. They played just the other day with no DT and the Mercury won 91-79 in a game which I backed the Wings to cover which I thought they should have. Mercury had some sharp shooters that night and the Wings were just awful. The Wings are a very hard team to back and if DT plays, the line might be Mercury -5 and 167. If she doesn't play, Mercury -2.5 and 165
Sun vs Storm
The Sun has finally put some wins behind the but they are facing a much superior team. Even when Stewie and Howard have a bad game, the others pick up their slack and just thrive. Well coached, well structured team with a well balanced approach as they are monitoring all the minutes of their players and not tiring them out. The first meeting the Storm won 87-74 and its hard to back against them. I still don't rate the guards of the Sun and think they will find it hard against this Storm team. The only issue will be, is that the Storm might become unbackable soon as these lines are just going to increase. They were laying -10 in the last meeting but this line might be around -13 and 158. Both teams seem to be ok injury wise, Prince is out for the Storm and Tuck is a GTD. The Sun have a healthy roster with no new injuries.
Dream vs Sky
Either Sky or no play for me. Maybe the over because the Dream don't defend, the Sky have been lacking offense of late so it might be nice for the Sky team to push the pace in this game to get some confidence back. The Dream announced that Carter should be back next week sometime which is pretty quick. Apart from Carter, there are no other players out. This is the first meeting between the two teams and the line might be Sky -7 and 170 total.

Great takes as usual, Oz. I’m definitely leaning towards all the favorites again.
Phoenix losing only to the Storm (top team in the league imo) and the Sky who can beat anyone when they are shooting well. I like that 2.5 even without DT and hopefully my book shows me that number.
Sun seem to only win against bad teams and only defeated the sky because Chicago had a ten point quarter.
Sky have a great opportunity to get right against a plainly horrible Atlanta team. I would take anything 7 points and under here and hope you’re right with your estimate.
Let’s see how it goes!

Cheers Gambit. The favs are sweeping the board some nights and it wouldn't be a bad idea to put them into a small parlay. For me, Phoenix appear to have two sides to them, some nights they come and and play well and then others they don't. Very hard team to get a good read of. I just wish Griner was more physical because at her height, she could be a lot more dangerous like when she first started her WNBA career.
Sky need to cut down their turnovers. If they did that, then they would win a lot more games. They are the second worst team in the league for turnovers (only in front of NY) and thats a worry. They need a well controlled game against the Dream to get some confidence back because they have some terrible stints throughout the games they don't score and turn the ball over too much.

I’ll never forget Vandersloot dribbling towards her own basket and throwing the ball up for grabs at the end of last season vs Vegas. Killed me as a gambler and a fan. Ugh...

Morning Oz. Both these W games on national ABC here in the US, makes me cringe when the W tries to "showcase" their product to national audience with no NBA today. That being said we have 2 of the veteran referee crews on each game to keep them close. I can't imagine DT will come out and dominate the Wings and Skylar already got her come uppance on her former team so I'd have to say Dallas has all the motivation here and will more than likely get the calls so I'm playing Dallas +9.5 and watch Gulbeyan and Flores keep this a close game throughout. In 6 games w/ this ref crew last season Phx either lost SU and/or never covered this ATS #. In 6 games last season w/ this re crew Wings either won SU but never lost by more than this #.
Good luck today!
over 158 in Sea/Conn looks good depending how this 1st game goes, rare to see 2 W games on ABC in same day...doubt they want to put up 2 stinkers

SW your point is a strong one for me, I bought out of my Mercury play. I do think players get up more for national tv games. Ref influence can cause it to go either way, it'll depend on if Dallas can hit the FT they get. I can see Griner getting in foul trouble early and having to sit for a bit.

Thats the capping I like to see Wagers. Taurasi being back doesn’t always bode well. Ruins the chemistry and I miss this because the lines weren’t out when I went to bed unfortunately. Wings have a good roster, they can match up against any team (apart from Sparks and Storm) and I think it just takes time for Agler to get his rotations right. GL buddy

That is a very good call Wagers. Finally Arike has a massive game looking at the box score with 33 points and 13-19 shooting. Only took her 11 games to do it.
