YTD: 17-19

Need to salvage this season somehow. Difficult so far and I salute Joe and Fazz for having such amazing seasons right now. You guys are hitting almost each game right on the head. 

Going back to my old ways with my threads. Need to as it helps me focus and look at the games better if I write it down on paper (well actually the forum). 

Aces @ Dream

Aces pathetic pretty after HT in that game vs Sun. They missed a massive chance to take a hold on 1st seed. They should smash the Dream in this game but seeing Aja go 1-15 was definitely eye opening. Dream does have some good inside presence but the Aces should win this game comfortably. Dream without Bradford which I think is season ending and Dupree is also out. Hayes is a GTD. Aces missing no players as far as I know. The line should be Aces -10 and 170.5 I believe and my lean is to the over in this game as the Aces were kept quiet the other night vs Sun and I believe they will let the Dream have it.

Sparks @ Sun

Sparks didn't show up for the game the other night vs the Mystics. Started off down 11-0 and could never get back into it. Sun, well they keep surprising me each game and if it wasn't for Jones being overseas for 5 games and the Sun going 2-3 during that period, they could potentially be 21-3 which is just insane. They are somehow first and running their starters some big minutes. But in saying that, their team got 6 weeks break over the Olympics so they are now rested again. In saying that though, this line should be inflated due to their games the other night and I think we see Sun -12.5 and maybe a low 151 total. No new injuries that I am aware of but if the Sparks are getting double digits, I may just have to take them here.

Wings @ Mystics
Charles out again for Mystics but EDD played so well in her 2nd game. The Mystics gelled so quickly. I think they go on a big run to close this season out and try and clinch a playoff seed. Wings will be without Sabally and Gray for this game. I will have to lay the chalk in this game and back the Mystics as EDD looks good and so does her team when they are around her. She is just one of those players that can lift morale. See where this line is going to be but guessing Mystics -4 and 165 total.

BOL everyone. 

 Wings @ Mystics: Mystics -2.5

Thought this line would be higher considering no Gray or Sabally for the Wings. Will take it even with Charles out because EDD is back and ready to rumble

I’m in a similar boat, not doing well at all this season so I’ve just been tailing you and some of the other vets here. I’m all about the Mystics today. By the time I get a line it will probably be 5 or more. Even so I think I would take the risk. They’re looking smooth as butter with EDD back. I’m surprised as I was expecting her to be a bit out of shape, maybe the books expect this one to be where she runs out of gas? Still, no Gray or Sabally as you said.

 Aces @ Dream: Over 165.5

Both play at a decent pace and the Aces coming off a season low 62 points. They put up 118 last time they played the Dream which was the game that Carter and the Dream fell apart due to some team issues. No Carter this time but I don’t see the Dream keeping the Aces under 90 and the Dream I think can get pretty close to 80.

 Nice to see your post mate. You need to chime in more. It’s been an up and down season and I am finding it hard to back teams and my stubborn self needs to realise the Sun are the real deal. The Lynx are also on my radar and have been all season long yet I haven’t taken them often. Guess it comes to my own confidence in the teams/games I like. You can do that as well mate, if you have the confidence in a play then run with it. 

I think the Mystics are about to really step up their game for the final games in the reg season as they would at least want either 5 or 6 seed so they get a first home game elimination against 7 or 8. Then they can win that and go against either 3 or 4th seed. That will be fun to watch. 

Thanks Aussie I appreciate that. I also took a long break to play the Euros which went really well and after that the Olympics hit so no basketball. Did ride that US women’s train though! I will be participating a bit here and there down the stretch and hopefully I can string together a run.

Mystics just can’t play a good Q4 lately.  Have been outscored 139-90 in the six games since the break.
