Back home now, easier to type on a laptop compared to the phone. This season in here is very quiet, the contest that Wagers and myself ran really brought out those who are sometimes to shy or dont like posting their own threads which I can understand, but please chime in every now and then if you have anything to add because this is a tough league to get valuable information.
I have some information, the Mystics vs Aces game which was stopped at half time due to the earthquake has been re-scheduled for this Monday and by the looks of it, the game will continue from half time with the Mystics up 51-36. I don't think we will get any lines at all seeing that its already midway though the game. Don't see the Aces fighting back in that game without A'ja and Mystics having their full squad back.
Just some random thoughts for Thursday games;
Mercury @ Sun: Mercury I think have really rushed DT back when they last played the Sun and I think she maybe out for the season. If not, she needs to come back soon. Mercury scored 90+ in their last 2 games which is surprising, and they now play the Sun who are coming off a 100 point game vs the Sky. The line for this should be around -7 I believe with a total around 160. Think the Mercury are due to regress with their shooting. Sun, well we know they can have their scoring droughts as well, with that awful 3Q before the All-star game vs the Liberty. Mercury missing so many players, with Sancho, Carson and DT feel as though they might get pumped in this game. The last game ended 79-64 in favour of the Sun in Conn which was on 12th July.
Liberty @ Wings; Wings in disarray, Liberty also. NY seem to have fallen apart after they got all their players back. They were playing better with just 7-8 girls during the Eurobasket. The last meeting ended 69-68 in NY with the Liberty snatching the win. Ugly game that one and the Wings are known for ugly games this season. Massive contradiction compared to last. This season they are 16-4 to the UNDER, absolute cash but last year under Williams they were 21-14 to the OVER. Just a complete change in coaching and it seems though Agler doesn't have the decent offense to play the conservative/defensive game he likes. He had it with the Sparks but this Wings team is all over the place but they are missing key players. Liberty needing a win to stay within touching distance of a playoff spot, the Wings just need to show up. Guessing that this might be a PK or even Wings -2 considering the Wings were actually -3 not long ago at home vs the Sky (which they lost). Total should be around 150.
Aces @ Sparks; classic showdown, the Sparks won the last meeting 86-74 and the Aces won the initial game this season 83-70. The Aces coming off a massive 30+ point win vs the Wings, the Sparks haven't played for over a week. CP and Vadeeva look good to go in this game, Beard questionable. This game should be a good game, the Aces are playing well without A'ja as Hamby has really stepped up in her absence. The line will be a PK I believe, as the Aces were around -2 last time they played in LA. Total around 158 also. Hard to pick a side in this game, but you would have to lean the Sparks if majority of their players are back. I personally believe the Sparks will make a big run now towards the end of the season to grab a top 4 spot which you don't want to meet them in the post-season.
No lines as usual, good luck to all.

Thank you Aussie for all your very informative contributions it's been a tough run but I'm starting to get out of a back and forth merry go round with my pics . My leans would be Phoenix + 7 however they are on a 3 consecutive ats W record I have rarely seen 4 in a row in this league so I may reconsider that play. I may hit the dreaded Dallas but they would have to be a dog and I love the sparks . BOL today

Thanks for the kind words Jersey. It definitely has been a harder season this year. But I am a firm believer of seeing all seasons out, even if that does mean having a few days/weeks off here and there. We have around 5-6 weeks off reg season left before the post-season starts so lets try out best.

Painfully hard to lock this bet in but I have to go with it. The Wings scored just 18 buckets the other day on their way to 54 points which is that even basketball? They face the Liberty who are playing their first game after the ASG and just before that break, they also had a shooting slump as well in a game vs the Sun where they scored just 63 points. The last meeting saw just 137 points, NY won 69-68 that game but surely Agler gets his girls to run against a Liberty team that does give up a lot of points.
