The WNBA is investigating that little scuffle the other night in the Mercury vs Wings match and some players might get a suspension. If Griner gets some suspension, the Mercury will find it very hard to get themselves any higher than 8th. Feel as though the top 8 has already been sealed, just comes down to those 8 teams getting into certain seeds. Liberty, Wings, Dream and the Fever have been very ordinary this season and I don't expect the likes of Storm, Mercury, Sky or the Lynx to give up their spots in order for any of the bottom 4 to catch up.
Tuesday games..
Lynx @ Liberty:
The best coach against one of the worst, Reeve vs Smith. Lynx were in a bad spot the other night against a Mystics team wanting top spot which they now have thanks to the Aces beating the Sun. Anyone notice that the Sun are now 8-7 S/U without Clarendon? Actually a horrible 2-6 S/U without her on the road? She was a great bench player with great hustle and they are clearly missing her experience and support when the 2nd unit is on the floor. Back to the game, Liberty will be without Durr and Zahui B again. The Lynx look to be without Dantas as she is questionable for this game. They have played twice this season, Liberty won the first game in NY 76-69 and then Lynx got revenge with a 92-83 win in Minny. Lynx need a win, and they need to keep winning if they want a 5th or 6th spot to get a first round home playoff. Guessing the line will be around -3 Lynx and total of 158. The Lynx have 3 tough games after this, returning home for the Mystics again and then on the road at Seattle and LA. Liberty were pretty bad in the 3Q vs the Storm the other night and they are about to start a 3 game road trip at Dallas, Phoenix and Indiana which are all winnable games given the opposition and injuries but the Liberty have just looked awful and Nurse for some reason is playing lower minutes compared to before. Bone head move by Katie Smith there. You would have to lean Minny in this game because very hard to back the Liberty in any circumstance.
Dream @ Aces
Great win by the Aces and Liz has turned a corner hopefully. The Aces looked good vs the Sun, bad against the Sky and now face a Dream team who's season is pretty much over. Hayes went crazy the other day vs the Fever but even that wasn't enough to beat Indy. The Aces only have 9 games left, and only 3 of them are at home and this is one of them. They need home wins because they have been ok on the road but far from impressive. Aj'a will be back in 10-14 days apparently, which is good timing, gives her around 7-10 days before the post-season starts. Aces get 4 days rest after this game before going to Chicago and then returning home vs Phoenix. Dream on the other hand play at Phoenix before going home for Chicago. Only the one meeting this season where the Aces gave their most impressive road performance of the season thumping the Dream 92-69 in a game that was over pretty early. You could say revenge for the Dream but this Dream is very tough to bet on because they just have episodes of zero scoring and like Casey has pointed out numerous times, they just keep jacking up 3's when they have good bigs inside yet are a terrible 3 point shooting side. The line for this game will be close to -10 Aces I believe, seeing that the Aces were laying -6.5 to the Sky the other day. Hard to back either team if the line is that big. Total will be around 157 I believe.
GL everyone, lines are nowhere near to being released, just had some time on my hands to post my thoughts.

The Lynx need to keep winning and they can really put themselves some distance ahead of the Mercury now and try to claim a 5th or 6th spot after the Mercury got given their suspensions after that scuffle with Dallas. I don't see Reeve slowing down in this game vs the Liberty who give up 105.6 points per 100 possessions. Liberty missing Zahui B and Durr, but they have plenty of players that can now fit into those roles. Expect Reeve to pound the inside with Fowles taking over the game and Liberty having no answer. Charles seems to do very well against Fowles also. Hopefully see more of Kia Nurse as well and for her to get some confidence back after some poor outings lately.

Quite obvious the criteria has changed after Griner incident and Cambage complains. Refs calling everything, way too much imo
Missed the game WK but will try and watch some replays tonight. Looking at the box score there does seem to be a lot of fouls in that game and some awful free throw shooting?

Very nice to see this game over the total. The scoring has picked up and now the Aces are struggling against the Dream. Did the Dream actually make some 3 point shots for once? Good to see the scoring has picked up in the league.
