TULSA +9 ( 3 units ) I might be stretching it a little when i say the Tulsa Shock could easily be 4-0 instead of a disappointing 0-4, but the numbers don't lie. Three losses by a combined 6 points and a misleading 88-79 loss against the Silver Stars in a game which they actually lead by 1 with 45 seconds to play. I admit they've had trouble closing games but you gotta cut them some slack, after all they start 3 rookies. I'm looking at this Seattle team and I see a veteran core of starters that are having a difficult time with basic basketball fundamentals. They've lost the turn over battle in every game so far and have gone to the free throw line a dismal total of 35 times in 3 games in comparison to Tulsa who have gone to the line 76 times in their last 3 versus Pho,Wash and LA. The Storm only go 6 deep and I think Tulsa has a better bench. The Shock are leading the league in forced turnovers averaging over 26 a game. Their bench players got 45 points in the Mercury game. What else can you ask for ? I laid -118 and took the +9 in this game! THE STORM SHOULD NOT BE LAYING THIS HIGH A NUMBER. Seattle beat up on Tulsa last season winning every game by an average of 17 points. It's payback time for Tulsa !!! HEY BUT ALL I NEED IS A COVER. FINAL SCORE SEATTLE 74 TULSA 72

Previous games doesn't matter. If you had the same logic for spurs vs okc- you wouldn't have bet okc -3.5 today. ....... they dominated.
It's all about the situation and who's playing.
Look who Storm has played - LA LA - MIN .... best teams in the league. They are piiiisssed. They are home, they will win . They might dominate actually.

I would have to not agree with this pick.

always check your picks and enjoy your thoughts....bol....
a quick question though.....how much do you take into account the opening line for WBNA games......for example pinnacle opened at -13.5 for seattle....it dropped quickly but does the original line ever worry you....they think a blowout is expected perhaps....do you find the likes of pinny can be this far out from where the line settles later in the day......

Pinny is first to open that is correct. They post their lines approximately 11 AM EST the day before game day. I've seen sides and totals change or move up and down within seconds , and I mean some significant line moves. I've seen totals move by almost 10 points within 15 minutes of the opener. Now since most of the players here on covers are recreational sports gamblers hardly anyone pays attention to this and I totally understand. In the past, I often posted plays with numbers that were simply not available once the other markets opened. I was accused of posting misinformation , which in fact is totally false. I just got fed up of ,so now i post my picks when the numbers are painted.

Despite the fact that Seattle is a tough place to play, neither of these teams remotely resemble last year's versions. The books don't seem to have adjusted for that. TUL still has the rep of doormat and SEA has the rep of champs (albeit one year removed).
I also have been surprised by Tulsa's knack for turning over opponents AND protecting the ball. Turnover differential in their first four games: +5, +11, +13, +12. Scoring has been a problem for the Storm, and I don't figure Kloppenburg's defensive system will make that any easier for them.
In short, I'm on board. Line movement be damned!

on it myself they were competitive against LA. the Storm shouldn't be favored as high add to that a preseason game when Tulsa got a W 86-60 . I put some on Shock ml too. GL Dimes
