AGS Interactive (AGSi) has launched its online slots and casino games in Delaware through a partnership with Rush Street Interactive (RSI), the company announced this week. The games are available through the BetRivers app on iOS and Android, which RSI operates.
With this latest launch, AGSi now provides iGaming content in five U.S. states. The company has also partnered with RSI in eight jurisdictions.
“We're thrilled to partner with Rush Street Interactive as they spearhead Delaware's online gaming market," said Zoe Ebling, vice president of AGS Interactive.
"This expansion underscores our commitment to enhancing and creating unique player experiences. As BetRivers revitalizes the market, AGS is excited to be at the forefront of delivering innovative gaming content. This launch paves the way for more dynamic initiatives from our partnership.”
Some games that AGS Interactive has introduced to Delaware include Capital Gains, Mega Diamond, and Rakin’ Bacon Odyssey.
Busy times for AGS Interactive in the U.S.
This latest move marks one of many for AGS Interactive since the start of 2024. In January, the company signed an agreement with Caesars Palace Online Casino, which led to the omnichannel February release of Rakin’ Bacon Odyssey in New Jersey.
AGSi also signed a deal to provide its games to EQL Games, which provides iLottery content in states like Virginia. EQL Games is partnered with several gaming content providers, recently agreeing to a deal with Scientific Gaming.
PlayAGS, the company that oversees AGS Interactive, was acquired by Brightstar Capital Partners for $1.1 billion in May.
Rush Street Interactive in Delaware
Rush Street Interactive is the digital arm of Rush Street Gaming, which has been running gambling operations in the U.S. since the 1990s.
The company built its success operating land-based casinos under the Rivers brand before launching an online casino, PlaySugarHouse, in 2016. PlaySugarHouse has since been rebranded as BetRivers and is one of the most popular online sports betting and casino platforms in the US.
Since January, when BetRivers Sportsbook launched in Delaware, online casino players have been able to find slots and other games supplied by developers like AGSi through the BetRivers app, which is an integrated platform featuring sports betting and casino gambling.
AGSi is not the only game provider the company has recently signed agreements with. Earlier this month, RSI announced a deal to bring Evolution Gaming live gaming titles to its online casino.
Step forward for first state to legalize online casinos
Delaware is nicknamed the First State, and it lived up to that name as the first state to legalize online casinos when Governor Jack Markell signed HB 333 in 2012. All three legal online casinos launched in Nov. 2013.
Initially, online casino gambling was operated by 888 Holdings, allowing players to visit three individual sites bearing the name of three partnered land-based locations. These are Bally’s Dover Online Casino, Harrington Raceway & Casino, and Delaware Park.
However, in Aug. 2023, RSI signed a five-year deal with the Delaware Lottery, with options for an additional year and five years. The agreement gave RSI the right to operate online gambling exclusively in the state.
