The Backstreet Boys are again making history, announcing a groundbreaking residency at Sphere Las Vegas this summer.

The iconic boy band will become the first of its genre to take the stage at the state-of-the-art venue, with a nine-show run scheduled for July 11-27.

Dubbed "Into The Millennium," the residency will showcase the five original members, Nick Carter, A.J. McLean, Brian Littrell, Kevin Richardson, and Howie Dorough.

The shows will bring their signature harmonies and high-energy performances to a venue known for its cutting-edge visuals and immersive sound technology.

The group confirmed the news on social media Wednesday morning, with Carter sharing an enthusiastic message: "Backstreet's baaaaaack baby! We're bringing the party to @SphereVegas this July 2025."

The residency marks a major milestone for the Backstreet Boys, who have already proven their staying power in Las Vegas.

From 2017 to 2019, the group performed 80 sold-out shows at Axis Theater (now PH Live) with their highly successful Larger Than Life residency.

Their return to the Strip follows a successful 2022 engagement at Caesars Palace's Colosseum, where they stepped in to fill dates left open by Adele's postponed residency.

Now, the group faces a new challenge: scaling their performance to Sphere's 17,500-seat capacity.

It's a significant leap from PH Live, which seats approximately 4,600. The venue opened in 2023 and is known for its 360-degree, ultra-high-definition visuals and 160,000-speaker immersive audio system, providing an unprecedented concert experience.

Hits like "I Want It That Way" and "Larger Than Life" are expected to be enhanced with Sphere's next-generation effects, elevating the group's classic performances to a new level.

The Sphere Las Vegas brought in a gross revenue record in 2024, hitting $420.5 million in revenue.

Las Vegas and the Boy Band Revival

The Backstreet Boys' announcement comes amid a resurgence of boy bands on the Las Vegas Strip.

Their 1990s counterparts, New Kids on the Block, have also committed to an extended residency, with 24 performances scheduled at Dolby Live from June 2025 through February 2026. The demand for nostalgia-driven performances has continued to grow, with audiences eager to relive the golden era of pop music.

The Sphere residency also places the Backstreet Boys alongside major contemporary acts who have tested their drawing power at the venue. Country superstar Kenny Chesney has secured 15 dates from May 22 to June 21, further highlighting Sphere's appeal across multiple genres.

Tickets for "Into The Millennium" go on general sale on February 21 through backstreetboys.com. Fans looking for bundled experiences can purchase ticket-hotel packages starting February 14 via @VibeePresents.
