The NFL has announced that the wild-card playoff game between the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams on Monday night will move from SoFi Stadium in California to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, due to the wildfires spreading across Southern California.
Major wildfires have caused significant destruction in Los Angeles, including one burning across the Pacific Palisades located between Malibu and Santa Monica. More than 100,000 people have been affected by evacuation orders as many of the fires continue uncontained.
"In the interest of public safety, Monday's Vikings-Rams Wild Card game has been moved from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA to State Farm Stadium, the home of the Arizona Cardinals," the league announced Thursday evening.
As winners of the NFC West, the Rams were scheduled to host a first-round playoff game against the Vikings at 8 p.m. on Monday. That game will now be played at the home of the Arizona Cardinals.
The Rams opened as a +2.5 underdog, but the spread moved to +1 by Wednesday evening. With the location change, L.A. will lose the home-field advantage enjoyed at SoFi Stadium, a development that could affect any wagers already placed on the wild-card game.
How sportsbooks are handling the location change
The house rules for bets placed on the Vikings-Rams game prior to the venue change differ by the sportsbook. Here are how different books will settle bets on the contest now being played in Arizona:

"If a game venue is changed, bets already placed will stand providing the home team is still designated as such. If the home and away team for a listed game are reversed, then bets placed based on the original listing will be deemed no action."
BetMGM
"Football games and any games/events not specifically listed must be held within one week of the originally scheduled date and at the scheduled venue when the bet was placed to be considered action unless otherwise noted."
